I usually just make up a mangled version of his name. Alex: Ah-Leeks! or some such thing. But I also holler HEY ASIAN sometimes but mainly when I need tech help on my laptop or a photo taken. He gets annoyed at the Asian thing but has learned it's just for fun and the truth is he really is awfully good at both tech and photos- the photo part is what he does professionally but it also plays into stereotype. He calls me English-Boy and White-Boy and laughs when I can't jump more than two inches off the ground in basketball.

I usually call him by his regular christian name. But my pet name for him is 'my lamb.' When I do, he calls me, 'my mighty lion.' It's more of a joke, but we enjoy it.

My partner used to call me "honey", "baby" and "beautiful". I would always call him "handsome" because to me he was the most handsome man on earth.

LOL WOW..... I love this thread topic but am not into most of these names that you all used.... Ya'll freaky! hahah

    We just stuck to "baby"....

Also, can anyone attest to the fact that hearing your own name out of the guy you're in love is the sexiest thing ever? There's something hypnotic about it.

Yes, this. I remember when my boyfriend looked me deep in the eyes, saying my full name and "i like you a lot", I almost died from too much charm

    I call him "My love".

I'm afraid to admit I also did that with my late partner, too, how it started. I'd never had a gay partner before, and I was so overjoyed in our relationship that every time I came in our front door I sang out: "Hello my love!" And I added that to our ordinary conversation. "Yes, my love" "No, my love" "I'll take care of that, my love" etc.

And I do that today with my husband. Though this reminds me I've been getting sloppy, and not saying "My love" often enough. I hope this also reminds you guys to add a "My love" to your own conversations, or similar. He needs & deserves it, you know.

Oh, BTW, what HE calls ME...

At first it was Junior. I hated that. For one thing I'm not a junior at my age, and I'm not legally named as a Junior after my father. Plus I knew it was the name of his late pet dog Junior, whom he adored. All well and good, but I'm not gonna be named after a dead dog, and I told him so.

So today he most often calls me "baby boy". Also a misnomer given my age, but I've stopped complaining. If he wants to call me that OK. I guess in the final analysis it's your man who gets to pick his nickname for you, rather than yourself. And you accept that name as a sign of his love (assuming it isn't insulting or demeaning, or after a dead dog). I've been called worse, and coming from my husband, I couldn't be called better. icon_biggrin.gif
