    OK, late '70s/early '80s:

    Superfriends (watching them now, it's painfully cheesy compared to "Justice League")
    Battle of the Planets
    Star Blazers (this got very soap opera-ish, which I interpreted as mature)

    Never was all that big into cartoons, but I guess my favorites were "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons". Oh, and "Roadrunner"

    I'm pasting in from a past cartoon forum thread (my current list is slightly different, but close enough this one):

    Current favorites (cartoons that still hold my infatuation):

    Star Trek: The Animated Series (the individual episode stories are good, the music is great, and the voice-acting is delightful)
    Courage The Cowardly Dog (Courage is just such an adorable dog)
    Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (the original spooks-are-real Scooby movie; nifty animation and story)
    Thundarr the Barbarian (the world-as-we-know-it ends in 1994 to a great orchestrated theme; classic team of roguish leader, over-strong fighter, and sassy sorceress)
    Pirates of Dark Water (a great series that had an on-going developing story, a rarity in USAmerican cartoons)
    She-Ra: Princess of Power (quirky landscapes, pretty people, and a hefty '80s theme song)
    Dungeons & Dragons (the best episode is when the team essentially tells Dungeon Master to stuff it and goes out to kill Venger instead of prancing about for a new portal)
    DuckTales
    Batman: The Animated Series (beautiful animation and music, and Kevin Conroy provides a nifty Bruce Wayne / Batman)
    The Addams Family (the '70s cartoon where they travels across the USA)
    Animatrix: Second Renaissance

    Past favorites (cartoons that were once fav's, but are no longer as adored):

    Batman Beyond (cool dystopic version of Gotham and nice cranky Bruce Wayne; its values are bit too conservative for my current opinions)
    Ghostbusters (Filmation; based off of '70s live-action series>)
    Family Guy (I still enjoy repeat performances of the first two seasons; I'll pass on the rest)
    Futurama (I wanted more development on the Fry-Leela front, something a bit more daring than cute episodes where the status quo is reinforced at the end)
    South Park (the sentimental alcoholism episode tolled the end of its "funny"; I also disagree with Parker and Stone's libertarianism)
    Jonny Quest (sci-fi hi-jinks with a jingoistic, Cold War, 1960s slant)
    Most of Hanna-Barbera as shown on Cartoon Network during its heyday (the Jetsons, Josie and the Pussycats, Penelope Pitstop, Lafalympics, Frankenstein Jr., Scooby Doo, Where Are You!, The Herculoids, Top Cat)
    Tom & Jerry
    Transformers
    Go-Bots

    Bugs Bunny and the other Looney Tunes cartoons;

    Johnny Quest;

    Scooby Doo.

    I mercifully missed all these super serious hero type cartoons that are out now. I like humour in my entertainment
