    Hi guys,
Headed to Sydney for 2014 Mardi Gras. Going solo. Already have hotel set up for Feb 17 thru Mar 10.

Looking for travel mates to hang out, go to the events and take in the sights.

Or if anyone has suggestions on what to see or how to meet other gay travelers or locals please let me know.

    Hi Click:

I just got back from Sydney after spending some days there, and had an amazing time. Not sure, where you will be staying, but you want to be in CBD district, (Sheraton on the Park) to be close to most of everything. I was able to walk to Oxford St. (Gay District). You will find The Colombian, which was a good bar and eatery there. Also, the metro was right outside my hotel to travel.

Not sure what your into, but I was close to the Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Bridge, Royal Botanical Gardens, also Circular Quay - you can get a ferry pass to go to Manly and experience the beach there and some hiking as well. Best time to do this on Sunday since the fare is cheaper. Also, the Museum of Contemporary Art was good to see and its free, some floors.

Darling Harbour is another venue that has good restaurants. A bit south is the Chinatown, with the Chinese Gardens, and Paddy's Market & Market City.

Hope this helps, and brings lots of $$$, its
