Identical Twins

When most gay guys find out that I'm an identical twin, their interest in me is peaked and there is intrigue. I know that sexual orientation is not really a factor here for the fascination since most people would be somewhat intrigued when they see an identical twin. However, what I want to know is what goes through some of you guys' minds when you find out someone you are dating is a twin or even when you see guys that are twins?

Oh, and if you are a twin, fraternal or identical, feel free to share some of your experiences as well icon_smile.gif

I've always been very curious about identical twins because I wonder what its like to live with someone who is, genetically, a sort of extension of yourself. I even had fantasies when I was boy/teen, wishing I had a twin to fool around with sexually. Convenient at least! icon_redface.gif

How much alike are you two? Do you 'like' one another or do you 'irritate' one another?

By the way: It is tempting to think that your attention might be aroused to a high point by “peaking” your curiosity; but in fact, “pique” is a French word meaning “prick,” in the sense of “stimulate.” The expression has nothing to do with “peek,” either. Therefore the expression is “their interest in me is piqued.”

I've known quite a few identical twins. Why is it always the case that one is "good" and the other is "evil?"
    I just don't get it!

I'm an identical twin and always get asked about my twin brother whenever the guy (I'm on a date with) finds out. I do think the interest is a bit creepy.

I have a twin sister. The most common questions I get are, "Is she as tall as you are?" an "OMG are you two identical?" The first one is fine, the second one just makes me think, "You need a filter." icon_lol.gif

    Love it!

I've known some identical twins where one is gay and the other is straight.

If a person is attracted to you finding out there is two of you is interesting, of course.

Are twins lacking the gene to understand why this is objectively interesting? haha

Let me try to explain. Let's say there is a celebrity you like a lot. Maybe twins cannot idolize celebrities, but certainly you have observed this phenomena. So, let's take a little girl who is a fan of Justin Bieber. If it were revealed he had a twin, the fan's mind would be blown! It's a mathematical thing.

I hope I didn't make this conundrum even more confusing to you.

You're right. But, although it is extremely rare, mixed gender identical twins do exist:
    Mixed sex identical twins

In extremely rare cases, identical twins have been born with opposite sexes (one male, one female). In these cases, identical twin boys are conceived, but, during the twinning process, one twin loses a Y chromosome (boys have chromosome type XY while girls have XX). Without a Y chromosome to trigger the production of male sex hormones , this fetus develops as a girl by default, but a girl with only one X chromosome (chromosome type XO). The co-twin is unaffected, and develops as a boy as normal.

As a result of her genetic abnormality, the girl will suffer from Turner syndrome, which is distinguishable by short stature, folds of skin at the neck, abnormal development of secondary sexual characteristics, and an intellectual deficit known as space-form blindness . Turner syndrome can occur in any birth (including singletons, fraternal female twins, or identical female twins), so an individual with Turner syndrome is not automatically a twin. Turner syndrome occurs in about 1 in 10,000 of all births, but cases of mixed sex identical twins are much rarer—only three cases have been documented.

Never dated one. Did know one once. Always wondered if they had sex together when young. Answer: Yes

Also have wondered what a 3-way with twins would be like.

We are not alike at all. He is straight and I'm gay. He is more of the outgoing one. He drinks and smokes a lot too... He is my exact opposite really. We get on one another's nerves quite often but that's all love.

I'm a fraternal twin. We aren't all that close, never really have been. As I explain it, he's just another brother who happened to be born the same day I was.

Actually this happened to me, once. This girl at work was all sweet and cute, blonde--like an 18-year-old Goldie Hawn but quieter. Then all of the sudden I look up on day and standing next to her at her desk is another one of her. Her identical female twin. There were two of her and my mind was blown. It was cool, though. One of the nice surprises that life can offer.

Awww. What annoys me are the questions people ask, and it's the same ones over and over. "Are you guys twins?" "Who was born first?" "How many minutes apart?" "Have you guys ever tried to switch classes to see if people notice?" "Do you confuse your parents?"

My ex and I once made out with identical twins and one of their bfs while we were on ecstasy. We were in this small windowless room with Christmas lights and inflatable plastic furniture. It was hot and very sweaty, however the drugs made everyone impotent.
