He won the long program. Awesome skater to watch. Not sure if he made the Olympic Team for Sochi. Very entertaining and better then current US champion, only thing is he can't do a quad in competition.

^ Brown did make it on and he's so young and quad jump is very difficult. But that was one of the most entertaining truly PERFORMANCES I saw. Good on him icon_biggrin.gif

His movement and style, specially in the adagio section, reminds me so much of Michelle Kwan. Good for him. That was a great performance.

Wow okay I'm not really into figure skating but that was soooo good!
That guy can do triple axels left right and centre!
Then he does split leaps and then holds his leg up above is head and then without changing legs is like "oh yeah I'll just triple axel again".
    That was pretty spectacular icon_smile.gif

Jason Brown will definitely be the one to watch in Sochi --- he may not win, but he'll likely be one of the biggest stars of the games for sheer entertainment value. Great to see so much talent.

He's good, I used to skate and knew a couple people who could skate at that level, it was great to watch them. Best I every could do was a single axle. lol

His reaction to his score is priceless! That was a huge personal best score for him. Good luck to he and all others competing at Sochi.

Great skate. Glad we still have US champions coming up. I just notice that he stands straight legged quite a bit which will probably develop. As Adozark I got up to a single axle myself. First try did one.

He did a very good job and was a pleasure to see icon_smile.gif

I'm looking forward to what us Canadians bring to the table, especially since I have no idea what's going on... even though I don't want to watch really (soichi... eew).

for those who are admitting to what they stopped doing things at: I had senior silver dances, senior silver skills, and could do double axels, and quit in boredom.

(I was also in grade 11 when I stopped, peer pressure was a part of it, same with the fact that when it came to competitions I was facing people that were significantly older, and not that many to compete against, yadda, yadda, yadda)

    Hi,

Thank you for posting this because I missed it on Sunday.

I really enjoyed it at no more than 85%.
15% disagreeableness (don't want to get into it).

This is also my response to what you posted:

This is an excellent program that can be done better (if he has the stamina to do it better--hope the quad isn't depleting his energy). I don't think Jason is dropping rotations because of stamina. Could it be more than less than 100% stamina that is going on with this performance?

Can't find a good video of Jeremy Abbott's long program / free skate because the music is muted on YouTube.
