So i am a huge believer that you aint strong until you have huge freaky strong legs!

Like with all body-parts getting big strong legs takes real time effort. We're not talking weeks or even months but years of dedication, commitment and most importantly consistency. But for all the advanced guys out there who have been man enough to step up to the challenge, you are now reaping the great rewards that having strong legs gives.

But how do you continue to get better? As we progress in our strength and capabilities our workouts and the way we train also must evolve. At shows and interviews you can always bet the bodybuilders like phil heath and kai greene get asked how they train this bodypart or that bodypart - but these are guys at the top of their field and the questions you should be asking is "how did you train when you were at my level?"

So with that in mind this article is definitely not for beginners but for those guys who have trained consistently hard for at least 5-7years. I want to sharewith you guys a couple of workouts i sometimes try and whould also love to hear from you how you train your legs also. So without further delay - the workouts of doom!

Leg Workout 1.

So this is a workout you can attempt at any advanced level. Its not the hardest but one you can do frequently to help develop both strength and fitness.

So start off with

SQUAT
100kg 20rep
120kg 12rep These two are done as a superset. So no rest in between!

So do the above as a superset and then take a 2min-5min break. Then do another identical superset! Do this for a minimum of 3 supesets or if you are real good go for a max of 5 sets!

But it aint over yet!

finish off by wrecking your legs on

LEG EXTENSION (20reps each set 4sets WITH FLUSHING min)
and
LEG PRESS (I like to do these like jay cutler as single legged)

Leg workout 2. this one in my experience hits the legs much harder than above

SQUAT
140kg 20rep
120kg 16rep
100kg 10-12rep

so 3 sets above (no supersetting this time - but min rest periods)

followed by

HACK SQUAT
140kg 3sets 40reps

LEG PRESS

2-3mile run

I hope to film my attempts at these myself as soon as i get permission to film in the gym. But i love sharing my knowledge on training and every friday i release my BIG ALS BIG WEEK video on youtube.
