F'in LOVE Netflix, just got it and I watched 2 movies and 1 season already of things I have never saw

    I watch;

Weekend (film) - Pretty good, Def overrated though by all the reviewers I watched and read online. But I would Really recommend it still

DTLA (Series) - Really Good, watched 8 out of the 9 episodes in a row, Really enjoyable... GREAT Full Frontal Sex scenes

Eyes Wide Open - The Best of these 3, Not perfect but Really Great! Foreigners do gay Films The Best it would seem. . . Only back side nudity until the very end but no need to worry, Def Watch This!

Perfidy is a good movie, a little tedious at the beginning, but worth the watch. I saw it at a gay bar a couple of weeks ago.

    +1 (except I don't think they're on Netflix anymore)

Latter Days (also not on Netflix anymore)

    Is it just me?

    Boy Culture

Bridegroom - tear jerker more than love to watch but pretty good nonetheless

I think foreign gay films on netflix tend to be very good!

    I would suggest you watch:

    1. The Bubble (Great movie! Loved it so much I bought it right afterwards)

    2. Yossi & Jagger. 3. Then watch Yossi (in that order, you'll see why)

    4. Boy culture (not foreign but I enjoyed it. I also am a fan of Darryl Stephens )

Bridegroom is probably one of the best indie gay films on Netflix.

I also liked Angels of Sex most recently. It has subtitles.

I watched this movie because I have a HUGE crush on Chris New (Glen)from watching him in Bent with Alan Cumming. I thought the movie was pretty good, but I agree...pretty overrated. It was a good watch though. Definitely recommend it.

The Bubble and Yosi & Jagger are great.

Also, one of the best gay films made (a while back) was Lilies - set in a Quebec prison.

Two very good french films were The Adventures of Felix very light- and Le Temps Qui Reste (Time to Leave) tragic, with a great sex scene leaving little to the imagination, and a great role for Jeanne Moreau.

Also, Almodovar's latest film - I'm So Excited . . His gayest film yet. (Penelope Cruz & Antonio Banderas) Light comedy where everyone is focused on sex.

There are a lot of good gay films but most are not streamable.

    For example:
    Lilies (Lilies: Les Feluettes)

    C.R.A.Z.Y.

    Leather Jacket Love Story

    Mysterious Skin

    Etc.

Just finished watching Gayby. It's a really cute comedy film about two friends - one hetero woman and one gay guy - trying to have a baby together. I would recommend it.

I have to confess that I often look through the TLA Gay catalog, then watch the stuff on Netflix. Although I understand that TLA has their own streaming service now, I haven't figured out how to get it on to my TV. (Really, 90% of this stuff I wouldn't buy a copy because I doubt I'd watch twice.)

None of this stuff is great art, but fun anyway:

Otto - gay zombie love story from Bruce LaBruce. (OK, I bought this one.

There are several series of gay detective/thrillers:

    Open Cam
    2 Minutes later

Several of the Donald Strachey Mystery novels have been made into movies
    Third Man Out (2005)
    Shock to the System (2006)
On the Other Hand, Death (200icon_cool.gif
    Ice Blues (200icon_cool.gif

I know I've seen others, but can't remember the names.

And you can always run through the complete series of Queer As Folk in both US and British versions.

velvet goldmine - psychedelic and brilliant, plus Jonathan Rhys Myers, Christian Bale and Ewan McGregor being gay

we were here - aids documentary, kleenex required

    sebastiane - 70s hunk erotica

north sea texas - sweet young love

Also, the best gay movie ever made:

UFO Alien invasion 2013--cheesy- alot of guys walking around in underwear--bondage scenes where the guys struggle then you see them walking --weird
The James Dean story was ok! It was a fictioinal account of a pre star James Dean making a trip to the Joshua Tree

There just aren't enough good gay movies. Either the directing, story, or acting are off. I will say that I've recently read "Maurice" by EM Foster and loved every page.
