People who buy drinks and don't finish them

I work part time at a grocery store and today I was on cart duty. You really start to despise the human race when you are on cart duty. I've had people leave dirty diapers in carts(I refuse to touch any cart that has a dirty diaper and they just get left there) and people who just throw their garbage in the carts like their empty Mickey D bags and what not.

But today I noticed a ton of people leaving completely full cups of coffee in the carts. There are cup holders on the carts and there were at least 6 or 7 different people who left almost full cups of Dunkin Donuts coffees in the carts. Why even waste your money if you are not going to finish the drink? People probably just think they look cool sashaying up and down the aisles with their DD "Ermergerd everyone look at ME i AM SO HIP AND COOL i Drink DUNKIN Donuts while I shop and SAVe!" Bitch throw your fucking shit in the garbage! Don't they teach you that in preschool? Hell didn't their parents teach them?

Ok sorry I just needed to get that off my chest.

Since you work in a grocery store, you'll be surprised on the items people buy, put them in the fridge and never touch it. Actually, they do touch it...to throw it away! As for not throwing stuff away and leaving it wherever...well, it's because they're slobs!

I don't see what the big deal is. It's just coffee. Mediocre coffee too. If it was food, then maybe there would be something to be disgusted about.

I mentioned that people leave their kids shitty diapers in the carts. And there has been food left in them as well.

I've mentioned it the the managers. I've also mentioned they should get recycling cans too. They've done nothing. Well it's time Musicman91 took matters into his own tentacles. I'll bring an axe with me to work and just start hitting people with it when they do something stupid.

If I have enough room in my trunk I'll bring a recycling can too.

Working in a department store, I've seen people leave drinks on displays with clothes, close enough to spill on merchandise.

Oh, so that's why they follow me and ask me if I'm done with my basket when I unload my stuff and then cheerfully take my basket away icon_smile.gif

I'm not one of those people, I drink all my coffee, though I've never had dunkin donuts coffee. I've threw away the McDonalds coffee when I tried it once.

If you saw someone walking away from a trolley they had left a dirty nappy in, how would you deal with that? It would be tempting to run after them, say " you forgot this" and shove it at them (dirty side forward ofc).

Ask any air-stewards ,we witness it at every flight we are working on , of how dirty some people can be , and those would be perfectly at ease joining the pigs in their pig pens ..lol...

I would definitely call them out. I have said things to people I've caught leaving their food and cups in carts before. I usually say something like "I didn't realize this was a garbage can." The look on their face is always priceless.

The store I work at is right next door to a liquor store so there have been beer cans and empty boxes left in carts. One time I caught a guy trying to leave a broken bottle of wine in a cart.I have never caught the charmers who leave dirty diapers in the carts but if and when I do I will use that one.

And yes Scranton is extremely boring...

Bumpation! Today I caught some slime ball emptying all of their garbage in a cart. Literally piling empty beer cans, soda bottles, bags of fast food, wrappers all in a cart. I walked over to them and we just stared at each other for a few moments. The moron said "You got a problem?" I said "I don't but it appears you do. You must be blind sir because there is a garbage can right over there." He smiled and said "Yeah too lazy. You can take care of it." I replied "I can see that you are very lazy (the guy had to be over 300 pounds)and no I will not take care of it. So you may continue being a complete slob and leaving a mess but it will not be a mess I clean up I'll just leave the cart here." I walked away and the guy said "Fuck you faggot!" And I said "Sir the only thing fucking you is a Big Mac."

I couldn't believe it happened and I thought he was going to go complain to the manager but he didn't. I can't wait to be done with this job ughh people. Sorry to bump the thread!

I couldn't deal with shit like that. The urge to plunge a sharp knife into the inside of his throat just to watch it burst into blood and drown his lungs would overpower me way too easily ^_^

The only solution for the coffee cups is to eliminate the cup holders.
As for trash or diapers(?!) left in the carts, it appears to be a problem with no solution other than to accept it as part of the job.
