Unfortunately, one of our RJ members who recently had an "episode" in which high blood pressure may have played a role has me on Ignore (while he continues to post attacks on me), so he won't see this potentially life saving information. Such a shame.

Here’s why sunbathing feels so good: It may lower your blood pressure, British researchers reported Friday.

Just 20 minutes of ultraviolet A (UVA) sunlight lowered blood pressure by a small but significant amount in 24 volunteers, they report in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Further checks suggest the sun does this by increasing levels of nitric oxide, a chemical linked to blood flow.

The effects are so strong they may help explain why people who live in the darker north, like the Scots, have higher rates of death from heart disease, Richard Weller of the University of Edinburgh and Martin Feelisch of the University of Southampton say.

Is this just a veiled attack on an RJ member's heart health?

Watching Southbeach post is like watching someone doing the limbo and seeing how low they can go.

Let those two ^^^ duke it out on their own. I can definitely testify that when I'm floating on water in the heat of the summer, beer in my hand and dogs in the boat, my blood pressure goes down.

Have you ever seen him post anything that wasn't a veiled attack? In fact, I think his veil has dry rotted to the point it's not even there anymore.

Lack of sunlight diminishes the production of Vitamin B3 -- which is essential for gut health and is also anti-inflammatory. Seems like there could be a clear connection to blood pressure. During the winter I supplement with several thousand IU of good quality D3. (It's fat-soluble so use the gel caps, not the dry pills.)
