Put in context, MSNBC prime time viewers outnumbered those watching CNN by 2-to-1, while Fox more than doubled MSNBC’s own viewership. That means four people are watching Bret Baier and Bill O’Reilly for every one watching Anderson Cooper or Piers Morgan.

The ratings bloodbath follows Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes’ comments on his cable rivals earlier this month. CNN and MSNBC, he claimed at the time, had “thrown in the towel” and were now “out of the news business.” Though that may not be technically true, the two networks’ dismal showing over the past year may soon lend Ailes’ remarks a prophetic tone.

Doesn't riddler live in Canada? What has this to do with him? What is his motivation to post this?

CNN's at the bottom because it's become nothing more than a dull, TMZ-like channel.

Actually, Fox has lost approximately 1/3 of its audience in the past year. I just read this yesterday.

That's obvious, dear Shark. I just wonder what his motivation is, not living in the US. He doesn't live here, but that's all he posts about. And rather ineptly.

Or maybe people are sick of the left wing media, and want something different.

I just read that Nate Silver and the NY Times give Hillary only a 22.63% chance of winning the general election in 2016 should she become the candidate.

What a complete and utter hypocritical, overstuffed moron you are. You don't post the same criticism about that Brit guy EXMIL8 or your "dear friends" YourName2000 or Meninlove who frequently post about American topics. Maybe your just a garden variety racist. Just because Riddler78 doesn't "look like" you is no reason for you to post such nastiness about him.

Nate Silver has left the Times and his new site isn't up yet.
So apparently someone was pulling your chain.
Naturally you'd like to believe it, but it's hogwash.

The separation clause in his contract specified a certain number of collaborative projects so it's completely legit.

You may have misread or misunderstood him (and I'm being kind here by assuming you're not just lying your ass off). Because a careful statistician like Nate Silver wouldn't make a pronouncement as silly as that three years before an election.

And anyone who thinks that ANY Republican candidate has a 77% chance of being elected is in serious wishful-thinking-land.

Troublemaking Kolonel Deco is at it again, throwing around his (considerable) weight and bullying another RJ member, trying to intimidate him to stop posting topics here. Truly reprehensible behavior from the esteemed and "decorated" Kolonel.

Yes I have from when I first started to communicate at RJ had the Kolonel try to repress me from talking about gay issues, and to force me to leave RJ by being a stalking bully.

I resented a bisexual dictating gay issues to me a Bonafide Homosexual, to silence the truth. One topic being when I first talked about the Gay Plague Era, and how it effected me and all the people I lost.

Well, what's curious is that on the one hand you have the Fascist Right gloating how Fox News "dominates" over allegedly liberal news outlets.

While on the other hand, any time the media criticizes them they say it's the "liberal dominated press" being unfair to them.

Now which is it? I thought "dominates" mean only one is on top.

If you actually care to know, the vast majority of news is dominated by liberal journalists - particularly when you talk of NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC, and any number of newspapers. When it comes to television/cable news however, while Fox may have the largest market share and a growing share, the majority of news is still being watched on other networks.

On the newspaper front, the most widely subscribed newspaper, and the real newspaper of record is the Wall Street Journal - at a significant amount above the New York Times, but still the dominant views are from other more liberal papers in aggregate.

And finally, talk radio only came to dominance for the right/conservatives after they lifted speech restrictions and let people consume the media they wanted.

    #helpstoknowfractions #nowyouknow

Also if Aristoshark finally gets around to getting a clue one of these days, it was a down year for everyone in 2013 following the Presidential elections in 2012 which he may have chosen to forgotten given how successfully President Obama has been performing. Though to be fair, in his mind Obama is performing most successfully.

No wit however was intended - though it speaks to your ignorance of the history of CNN. icon_rolleyes.gif
