For the last two days I've been having bad dreams right before I wake up. They say that eating to close to bedtime is a trigger for bad dreams, is this really true? Maybe it was the kind of food I ate right before going to sleep. Last night I had a piece of Carvel Ice Cream Cake, then I went to sleep this was about 3:45AM. I had a dream about a bad phone call I would have gotten at the market research I work for..BTW check out the new video I posted in my profile to see the stress of working for market research.

Have any of you had bad dreams when you ate before going to sleep for the night?

Yep. But not only food, usually it was a combination of stress and too much food right before sleeping.

Grandparents use to admonish us not to sleep with our belly full because it will lead to nightmares. Dunno about the scientific bases to all this though.

I think you're right about the stress part, I'm still freaking out about my last final exam for the semester.
