How many/what percentage of people at your gym do you think are on steroids?

At mine, I think none of the regulars, but I see someone every now and then who is suspicious to me. I remember one guy whose skin went bright red as soon as he started training, and he had the spotty back as well.

    What about at your gym?

Well, there are two very obvious ones. But I think they stopped because their bodies were getting ridiculously large. Specifically their upper bodies. One guy reminded me of SpongeBob Squarepants. His upper body was HUGE and thick. But his legs were little toothpicks. But yeah, he stopped. He kept most of the mass and he looks more normal.

The other juicer is gay. I think he started juicing to get more cock. But it seems like it backfired. After he got huge, I stopped seeing him hang out with his gay gym buddies. Also, from my observations most gay guys don't like roided out bodies. To each his own, I guess.

I do see a handful of older gay guys on HRT. Nothing crazy like SpongeBob. They keep it reasonable and they look pretty damn hot. icon_cool.gif

It was everywhere at my last gym. The men all looked like heavies and henchmen from a Troma movie.

Quite a few. There are a few super huge guys there who have been juicing for years. And there's this young Asian kid who a year ago was very skinny and now could easily compete in a show.

Basically: anyone super huge, and a decent percent of everyone else as well. It's pretty prevalent these days.

Depends on the gym. I go to a serious bodybuilding gym so.... 90%? That includes the women.

3 that are the easiest identifiable ones who you can tell have been on several cycles, only because they all share the telltale huge distended roid belly that has six pack markings on the outside surface of it.

I would be surprised if it was more than a few in either of the 2 gyms I go to. I go to the NEU gym (in Boston) and a small, old private gym (in Toronto).

I don't know about anyone in my gym, but one startling thing is the number of amateur cyclists and triathletes use performance-enhancing drugs. One local guy who had won 17 national cycling titles in his age groups was finally busted at age 62. He'd been taking them for years, and everyone speculated, but drug tests at the amateur level are very spotty. Apparently, he was taking the whole medicine cabinet.

I think it's a pretty miserable thing to be a doper. It smells like desperation.

At my suburban New York Sports Club, very few (unless a lot are on light dosages). There's a certain degree of size coupled with conditioning that's more of a visual marker than HGH-face or bacne. It was real obvious when I worked out at Powerhouse Gym, drawing NPC competitors (and often their video crews) from all over the country - though I'd say only 20% of the members used because the commercial strip it was in was off residential Syosset and Oyster Bay, so it had a largely middle aged Jewish and Italian suburban clientele. There, mere paying mortals subsidized the hardcore gym because competitors were often comped for the cachet; my guess is the owner barely breaks even on the gym but makes his real money promoting contests. Two guys some of you may have heard of that were obvious roiders were Kai Greene and this kid I watched blow up over the course of a couple years, "Wifeswap" teen bodybuilder Nick Medici.

btw, +1 for Larkin's inspirational abs

Steroids only one guy. But I think he must have took it few years back and now is on supplements. Supplements, most of the people. Then there are few who are just natural and show up on the weekends only. Overall, I go to a shitty gym.

Prob 25% on roids. Not counting the girls or older men using legal test suppliments. I see absolutely no negative effects from those who use them. If you like the look that results. I've never used them though I've thought about it.

at mine, id say may 30% and most of those are younger guys. The spots, back acne and the mere fact that some of them are so …'puffed' up.

Very few. Planet Fatness actively discourages bodybuilders. Most of the guys there are well-proportioned, naturally beautiful, godlike creatures.

Except the guy who screamed obscenities at me in the parking lot a few months ago because I took 30 seconds to vacate a space he was waiting for. Definitely roid rage.

Even if you don't judge I think is important to have an idea if someone has a physique that it would be very difficult for you to attain naturally yourself.

I consider my gym to be a roider gym, I would say about 50% of the guys there are juicing. I mean, they are gargantuan! People at my school consider me to be big and thick, and they just put me to shame.

my gym in joburg is stuffed with roids. everyone looked like they are about to explode, and i felt small!

my gym in toronto: not so much, but i can tell a few guys who were skinny as rails, and then just inflated so quickly in less than a year, and with terrible complexions, etc.

some people asked me if i was on roids. i'm not morally opposed to it, i'm just not into it. frankly i have just been working hard and i know that these results are all mine. i have thought about roids, but then wonder why, whats the point? i'm not in competition, and i think i look fine without it.

Funny, tonite my frenemy, the guy who is dating my best friend but doesn't like me... (full story here...http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/3617025/)...offered me some steroids if I wanted some. Winter Party is around the corner and errone in Miami has to look good. Not sure which ones he was selling, didn't ask. I told him thanks but no thanks. If I wanted drugs I would go to my other friend. Plus, he's still on my shit list. He maybe trying to kill me!!!icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

Just a couple of guys at my gym. One young guy disappeared for 6 months once and when he came back I was, like "Holy s_!". The muscles and the bad acne kinda gave it away. The Hulk look isn't really my thing, though, but each to their own.

There's a trainer at my gym who's on roids. What a great role model for helping his clients get into shape naturally. That's a load of shit.
