[sitting here with an open mouth]

I hope this guy isn't one of us, but if he has a gay card I wouldn't merely take it away, I'd make him eat it. Notice the image shake? I wonder if due to him throwing that considerable weight around.

And ever notice that the setting of these vids is almost always really shabby? Even if I don't look like him and dance like that, I still wouldn't want anyone to know I lived in a dump, with crap & clothes hangers all over the floor.

I am confused as to why all of you people don't recognize the extreme awesomeness of this video.
Also, it's a radio station promo. Obviously.

All I can recognize is the awesomeness of his/her girth, and its ability to shake the camcorder.

While I might find the guy's shape unattractive, I'll bet if he dressed in a more lumberjack manner, he'd be pretty handsome. He could have the bear thing happening. But, hey, he's having fun, and for someone as movement-challenged as I am, I'll say the guy, for all his weight, definately has some moves!

Remember, guys, not everyone can be as perfect and fit as some of the guys here on RJ. Cut him some slack.

    but he could be.
And why would you suggest he dress like a bear, he's not gay.

Guilty, c'mon! Dancing like that and you think he's NOT gay? My Gaydar spiked like crazy!

Not that I was attracted, mind you. But still, the guy (to me) seems as queeny as they come!

It's not about is he attractive or is he gay.

It's a matter of...well, clearly he understands the entertainment value to others in what he's doing. But does he think people laugh with him or without him? Why set oneself up for such ridicule?

I find that many of these young YouTubers are too convinced of their innate artistic/creative/performance talents when in fact they have none and unnecessarily denigrate themselves out of hubris and vanity. Or so it seems. I often wonder, are they receiving no palpable positive attention in their lives that they must seek out 'internet fame' via inappropriately costumed dances for anonymous strangers? Is there no friend to say, I think you have good moves, but please don't wear a unitard that reveals far too much of your private self and dance in a Beyonce homage video you post on the WWW??? It's the wrong kind of attention to seek, as it validates only the audience.

Oh, c'mon! He didn't do anything obscene or ridiculous. He was simply enjoying himself dancing and having fun. And there's nothing inappropriate about taping it or posting it. God, what if he were at a Gay bar or club where there was dancing and he wanted to get out on the floor? Some of you guys seem to think you're the only ones entitled to show off a bit. You sound like the fashion cops or the body image police. Do you really enjoy putting someone down just because they don't conform to your idea of the right body shape? Look at all the fat Samoans and Hawaiians that dance the Hula or perform in Makahiki dance ceremonies, and do it beautifully! It's really shameful to think that some of you are so ready to be unfairly jugemental of others.
Jeez, the guy is fat and he was dancing, so what?
At least he moved halfway decently, which is more than I can say for myself! I wish I could have the same kind of fun dancing that he had.

Your noble compassion and understanding are commendable, in keeping with your other posts here that I admire. But sorry, this guy is just a fool. And a messy one at that.

The most sympathetic thing I can propose is that he was using the tape for practice, perhaps for a stage production or just a night out dancing, hence the 'tard. And some "friend" swiped the tape and posted it. In which case I'd sue that person for a bundle, if I were him.

Is that true? I didn't locate the full page on YouTube, just played the link.

But very strange marketing device for radio (in which I've worked). What show format would this be promoting? And if planned for an ad campaign, why not at least pick up the junk & clothes hanger? Are they part of some message?

See here....I have a video of me doing this and:
    1) My body actually looks good in spandex.
    2) I can move like Beyonce.
    3) I actually look sexy.

    Mmmmhmmmm.

    Nice try.

There's a tag for the station's URL at the end of the video. He has an afternoon show.

Marketing is very different these days. Viral videos like this cut through clutter. The junk and clothes hanger adds to the weirdness. I'd say he did a great job on it, as we're all watching and thinking about the video. Far more effective for the dollar than blowing money on TV ads.

I ask, whats the problem with people having some fun? and if this is his sort of fun, he gets a kick out of it, then so be it, I am not going to judge him harshly for it simple because I found it uninteresting or because he was wearing a unitard and his body is shown off, if he enjoyed himself and got something out of it, then more power to him.

    And to your first point.
Some people don't care about being ridiculed, they can do as they please and stand in the face of all those who would put them down and attempt to take away there strength.
