Minnesota Teen Receives Horrifying Death Threats After Coming Out

Ryan Eichenauer, a Centennial High School student in Circle Pines, Minnesota, has gone public with death threats he's received since recently coming out as gay on Facebook. Ryan says the typed threats were placed on his desk before the start of class.

Well, Circle Pines is adjacent to Anoka, and Coon Rapids, both in the Congressional District of... Republican Conservative and Teabagger darling Michele Bachmann! And maybe they're in the same district, too. Would make a lot of sense, given the anti-gay hatred this kid is experiencing.

How many gay kids have committed suicide in Bachman's district? Nine. It's disgraceful.

If it's not a stunt, then -- creepily -- that appears very much to have been penned by an adult.

Reading that just makes it blatantly obvious how much the person who wrote that hates themselves.

I wrote this in another post, but these schools have got to be held legally responsible for failing to provide a safe environment. Lambda Legal needs to to get involved and they should sue the shit of these schools while pressing criminal charges. I was a teacher for ten years and they fear litigation more than anything. The first time a principal goes to jail for being negligent in a bullied kid's suicide will be a massive wake-up call.

I blame parenting for this kind of horrendous behaviour. These people are not Christians in ANY sense of the word. I don't know how people get to this stage of virtual insanity.

And Art_Deco? Perhaps you could leave the politics out of this for once? Plenty of people kill themselves in Democrat states as well. Just shows how obsessed you are with hating conservatives rather than condemn barbaric behaviour. These crap has no Left or Right to it. It may correlate, sure, but this is beyond the pale for anyone.

The worst thing about all this is how deliberately fucked up the right wing Evangelical world view is. The writer of that letter references God and sin and claims to be "protecting God's house." These assholes have lost all touch with the teachings of Jesus who said we were to treat people the way would want to be treated, to love your enemies, and to take care of those rejected by society. They think that bullying gays kids is acceptable. They think gay kids killing themselves is a result of being gay, and not a result of the kids being tormented 24 hours a day. Communities have got to hold their school districts accountable for providing safe schools. They are legally responsible for the safety of the kids they service.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Michele Bachmann's husband was running the anti - gay clinic in that state. As much as I do not like pay attention to Art Dec o's posts, he may have nailed it this time. Oh yeah, she makes Sarah Palin look smart.

So Democrats and kids of Democrats don't bully anyone? What evidence is there that the person who wrote this is a Republican?

Well, I see Kolonel Deco has succeeded in turning this into a political thread. Sad.

Dude really? This is fact about her husband. You need to take a look at facts. Politics aside, reality is pretty bad here. And the threats are pathetic. You could've ignored AD'S comments, as many of us do, and let it be about the original posting.

I do encourage you to ignore my posts. But for others here, I'll mention this anecdote.

I used to go to that Congressional District twice a year, to visit a 2-year community junior college. My purpose was to speak with students who might be interested in pursuing a 4-year degree at my own university, where I was the Assistant Registrar, one of my responsibilities being processing transfer students onto our campus.

But my boss warned me not to say anything regarding GLBT (as we called it then). I was out, and one of the 2 advisors to our own 10% Society for GLBT students on campus. It was feared that this community college would bar us from recruiting if they knew I was gay. They, and the community, had a reputation for being extremely homophobic.

So I kept a low profile during my visits there, and omitted the 10% Society when I listed the other student activity groups we offered on campus. And yet, some students I counseled there would very timidly ask me about the gay environment. And only then would I tell them, in direct response to their questions, believing them to be sincere, that our campus was gay friendly. But I saw their fear, and it sickened me.

So that's my personal experience with Michele Bachmann's Congressional District. And now you can put me on Ignore, as I will you.

Are we sure that Michele Bachmann didn't send the letter herself? just kidding, but her district is pretty screwed up. One county had the highest rate of inbreeding in the state at one time, if I'm not mistaken.

Southbeach and Politnerd need to be put on ignore, they repeat the same old conservative victim crap all the time. If enough people ignore them, hopefully they'll go away.

Sorry, don't recall ever saying they didn't. Even more sorry you wasted your time on looking up a bunch of links to prove your political point. Simply said, that state and MB has issues, you decided to drag it on. How about focusing on the issue at hand. You will find fault in any state you look at and you can defend or point fingers at whoever you like. MB and her husband are notoriously not our friends no matter what party you come from and actively crusade against us. Much like the bullies giving this young man threats.

Let's just hope the kid doesn't end up making an "it gets better video", because statistically it means they're more likely to kill themselves afterward.

Re-read and you will see easily two about Republicans/conservatives. Others about MB directly. Oh yeah, then yourself. Me? Registered Republican/anti Bachmann. But also anti - bullying. Oh yeah, I vote for who I like.

The people who are connecting this to Michell Bachman are insane.Would you blame Pope Francis who all the liberals want to canonize? The person writing that is obviously mentally unbalanced.Does he or she send notes like that to divorced people. After all Christ specifically forbade divorce.
