So as I told you guys a couple weeks ago . More and more guys are talking to me at the gym , even the ones with seemingly perfect bodies .. so 4/4 guys I've talked to have just straight up told me they're on steroids..and they say it like it's just a normal everyday conversation piece. Thing is I really looked up to some of these guys but now I just feel kinda like wtf..does anyone take the time to build natural muscle anymore? icon_sad.gif I'm so let down

So naive boo. Most of the guys who look like that aren't 100% natural.

But it still takes hard work to get that body. It's not like they pop a couple of pills and they are magically granted an amazing body.

But think of it this way. Who are they hurting? How does it effect you?

I don't see it any differently than a woman getting a boob job, or a guy taking some Viagra to get a hard on. It's just a booster to help what they already got.

^^Well, except that my friend, a bodybuilder with a truly amazing physique, died at age 29 of LVH from steroid abuse.

Moderation is the key word to everything. I'm sure his uses were majorly excessive. Not saying he deserved to die, but it shouldn't come to a surprise.

All, I'm saying is that steroids are a means to accent what is already there. Is still requires an incredible amount of work to get what they have achieved.

If we are talking about it's use in competitive sports, now thats a whole different story....

While I do agree, I think it does give those who don't know any better unrealistic expectations.

A good example of this is one of my friend's boyfriend. He has a really nice body, the kind that you need to take roids to get. My friend keeps going on and on about how it makes him feel inadequate because he can't lift as much, etc; and he isn't comparing apples to oranges.

However, I don't blame the boyfriend for not telling him, but it does set people up for unfair expectations when they want to look ripped with amazing arms/chest and be all natural.

But chuckystud told us that steroids are harmless in another thread!

Chucky is a moron who thinks that making six figures at 50 is hot shit.

I wouldn't take anything he says seriously at all.

and it only affects me cause I thought that you could just get these results naturally without having to juice. I know these guys put in a shit ton of work I've worked out with them but at the same time I guess It's me thinking in the back of my head " if I want to get those results I gotta start juicing" ya know what I mean ?

You are missing the point, or actually perhaps highlighting it, the result should be the outcome of hard work alone, employing steroids to get you there is cheating if not officially as in competitive sports then in spirit.

You get to the point where your body cannot grow anymore naturally. If people want to grow more, just let them!

Its really not a big deal, at all. I believe that people have the right to do what they want to their body and the harm that is imposed on society is because people refuse to talk about it, not because it is bad.

That is the best comeback you can come up with?

How tragic, to be born both ugly and stupid.

Your testicles yes, but you would be surprised. The idea that steroids makes you look like arnold is incorrect, that man does a massive amount of steroids to look like that. The fact is that steroids are way more common than we think, and it can be healthy if people who use it take them very seriously (i.e. not chucky). Basically, do your research and make sure you are prepared for the consequences if you don't.

Chuckystud, the moron who says that cheese is more harmful than steroids. It is not true.

If you are considering doing it, I suggest you do a lot of research and talk to people who have, they will help try to guide you into making the right decision for you.

And also wait until you are stable too.

You do what you want to do boo. I'm not saying you won't be able to become big and buff like a bodybuilder, I'm just saying it will be extremely difficult for you to, with or without steroids.

Don't listen to the naysayers saying that it will make you a bad person. Like any other vice, it's how you respond and react to it.icon_wink.gif

I'll take a thin hard muscled guy any day over someone who's big but not as well defined. For example, the last guy I posted on Dec 28, 2013 in the following thread, and the guy just below him with the gray t-shirt. And the Jan 04, 2014 guy (scorching hot).

I just don't understand why risking your future health can be such an overriding concern.

Using steroids to grow big is a very lazy way to achieve that goal. Yes, those guys still work hard for their bodies, but come on. It is lazy and unhealthy.

And it reflects the cliche: Bodybuilders are dumb and live an unhealthy life. Here's a little education.
Steroids suppress your own testosterone-production. Hence your balls get tiny. Very unpleasing. And you get infertile. Boo.
Steroids can grow you boobs. Not pecs. Boobs. Boo.
Steroids cause nasty pimples to grow on your face, back and chest. Boo.
Steroids harm your liver and kidneys as well as your cardio-vascular system. More precisely: They can cause your liver or kidney to fail and increase the chance of heart attacks. Boo.

If that's the prize you are wiling to pay, so you grow muscles faster and look hot in your 20s and 30s - go ahead, you dimwit.

I agree with the OP. When I find out a guy I was attracted to uses steroids, I'm disappointed too. And it turns me off. It just shows me that this guy isn't as disciplined and as admirable as expected. He uses shortcuts. That's not appealing, but sad.
