Pasteurized Egg Whites

    Anyone else drink pasteurized egg whites? Love them. One hundred percent bio availability of protein, pretty much tasteless, so you can add them to anything or anything to them. Around 26 GM of protein in 8 ounces.

    Tried them in a giant plastic bottle that didn't require refrigeration. I thought they were kind of nasty. Slimmey. 8 oz of slime for 26 grams of protein. I'm sure they're really good for you but I'd rather have a protein shake.

    Not drink, but I add 1/4c of them to an egg, then scramble them for breakfast.

    Saw that online. I just get the 32 oz cartons at the grocery. Actually works out to be cheaper. Never noticed a slimy feel. I mix it with about a tablespoon of honey and some nutmeg. More expensive than the protein powder I get (Dymatize Elite whey) but makes a nice switch up.

    They're kinda expensive. And cooking with them was.. different. Tried to make an omelet but the texture resembled something that would come out of McDonalds. icon_neutral.gif

    I mix my protein powder with egg whites & almond milk. Love it.

    I use the Costco brand as a thickening agent for my protein ice cream!

    I've used pasteurized eggs for years. The grocery store ones had too much salt. I like the ones from Muscle Eggs. They are flavored, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. I put them in my shakes.
