Safe sex anal AND oral. Do you practice it?

So I have gone through some revelations regarding my sexual encounters with new men I meet. I recently discovered one of my ex boyfriends has contracted not only HIV but HPV from unprotected sex with a hook up. Since that discovery I've made the decision to practice total safe sex with all future partners. I've had some blowback from men in bed when I requested them to wear a condom for oral sex. I've heard everything from there's no feeling, "you can't catch anything from oral sex", and men claiming that I suspect they have an std, which couldn't be any more false. I truly believe there's an apparent stigma to sexual protection with gay men. The slightest suggestion of using protection seems to be taken by most as insult and distrust. Frankly, I could care less though, this is my body and my health. I don't understand the negative criticism behind using protection. Any thoughts guys?

In my relationship we have never used condoms... once but that was when we first met.

But before my partner, I'd use condoms.

    YourName2000 saidAnal of course.

Oral? Guess you don't want to get your dick sucked. Because if I had any interest in sucking on a piece of rubber, I got dildos for that...and I don't have any interest.

    Deal breaker for me.

But then, I don't hook up ever; and anyone I want to sleep with is someone I think of as a potential partner. And nothing happens on the first date.

Well it seems apparent that my topic isn't applicable to you. The subject is based more along the lines of safe sex during hook ups/sexual encounters. Of course I wouldn't consider safe sex within an exclusive relationship with a loyal partner. But given the spike in std transmissions via oral sex has me fairly concerned.

Well OP, you are right. I learned about HPV from RJ. Since then I have directly put my words straight upfront about safe oral sex to guys I expected to hit on. But mostly they turned it off. They took it as offence. Some said I am sick. Some said they are healthy. Some said I am dodging to not have sex with them. But I stick to my point. Never regretted loosing them. Safe oral sex is very new to indian society.

My boyfriend and I tried using condoms for oral, but we ended up taking them off, they desensitize it too much.

However we both tested negative for the sensitive HIV test (and other tests) so that's why we don't use condoms for anything.

Using extra thin flavored condoms really isn't bad at all. No complaints here.icon_lol.gif

Broseph saidI'm sure it offends people that don't care about protection or think they can take the risk (so why shouldn't you?) but you have to protect yourself and it sounds like you are icon_smile.gif

    absolutely.
