    Hello everyone

I'm in the market for a new physiotherapist, and thought I'd ask here. Can you recommend anyone in Toronto?

I'm ideally looking for someone that's worked with people that do Olympic lifting or power lifting. Either that, or someone that's great with hip and shoulder problems.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I have gone to Physio On Bay (Bay St & Bloor St West) a couple of times. I saw a physiotherapist named Mai (pronounced "My") who was amazing. She was professional and very good at what she did. I have no idea if she's still there, but if she is, ask for her!

The downside: It's not covered in any part by provincial health insurance, so if you have extended health care coverage at work, perhaps this will help defray the costs.

    Hi Unclever!

I had physio last summer after an achilles tendon tear where they used cortisone patches and intense massage as well as a long list of exercises. Although my running isn't what it was, it did help. I noticed xanadude mentioned a place on Bay & Bloor. I go to the Central Y (Grosvenor & Yonge) and the place I went was right around the corner, right next to Dentistry on Bay. Since you posted a week ago or so I'm guessing you already found a place. Let me know if you found another place for physio because I kind of want to keep a list of backup places to try if I end up injured again!

    Good luck!
    Jon
