Do you ever think of things you could have done in the past but didn't? What are they?

I have a few. One involves one of my childhood friends I was a couple years older than him . Basically the first guy I ever did anything with when we both got hard while wrestling around. After that we would j.o a lot and do weird things, basically dry hump ..but I wad 16, had a very religious family and dating a girl..so I just kinda cut him completely out of my life..I felt if we continued screwing around I would turn out gay icon_rolleyes.gif and tried everything in my power to prevent a great sin like that = anyways I wonder what would had happened if I haven't turned into a dick to him

so, your regret from the past was that u did not continue to screw around with a pre-pubescent boy when u were 16?

    That's like...pretty deep bro.
You seem like a person with much depth and intelligence. A philosopher with a thirst for life. Living up to your potential. Between that and jerking off 8 times a day. you sound like a really dynamic individual with a lot to offer..

Another one is if I had moved to Oregon to culinary art school when I was 17 instead of waiting until now to do it = I wonder how different my life would have been

_Behemoth_ saidDo you ever think of things you could have done in the past but didn't? What are they?

I have a laundry list. Starting with not having realized I was gay when a teen, as my parents already knew, but didn't tell me. icon_sad.gif

Or not staying in college to become an architect. Or taking that impromptu turn in the road that led to a motorcycle accident that took away my ability to play the piano, along with erasing about 70 IQ points.

Getting married ranks right up there, too. Yeah, I can tell you dozens of stupid mistakes I've made. I honestly think the only smart one I ever made was coming out gay. And every happiness I have today flows from that. icon_biggrin.gif

I have done many things I regret, so is everyone... But, that's what it is... No one's perfect.

Just take out the 'if' from 'if I have done differently'... and move on...

We can't change the past, it's better not to get engulfed by the past and ruin our present.

Just remember, don't repeat and move on.

The number one big thing I wish I could have changed is not waiting so long to join the gym. I wish I joined as soon as I was old enough. It would have made a huge positive change in my life.
I put it off for years because TV always showed gyms as places where people were really rude.
(And now, even when I'm working out with a friend, *I'm* the one who has to go over to people and politely say "Excuse me but are you done with that equipment or are you going to just sit there and talk?" icon_biggrin.gif )

I've made some poor decisions in the past. Nothing detrimental. But it's one of those situations where it "would have been nice" if I chose the other direction. icon_neutral.gif

It's easy to look back and wish you had done something different but included with changing that is that nothing you DID do would have happened because your entire life course would have been altered.

Sure there are regrets but at the end of the day, I'm pleased. Sure there are things I wish I had tried or even just done but again, I can't relive them and I did and said what I thought was right at the time. I sleep at night knowing that I didn't harm anyone, I didn't embarrass too many people and the ones I love the most are still very much in my life. My path may have changed dramatically from where it was headed but I'm a better person for it.

Other than some homosexual catching up to do….I'm very content with how things turned out. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
