I try to have a meal within an hour of finishing my workout. Or if I'm using protein powder, that's when I try to have it. With my weird schedule, sometimes the workout gets smeared out all afternoon, so I just in in the middle somewhere.
Once in a while, buying stuff from bb.c, they send "free" tubs of post-workout stuff along with some other purchase. I've never gotten into using them, but I've got a couple of jars and a bunch of little packets. The main ingredients seem to be glutamine and creatine (plus more whey.) Maybe I'll start slugging some down after my bike ride. If the fricken snow ever melts.
