Sweatpants are appropriate very where! Chalk it up to an increasingly casual workplace culture, the rise of the urban freelancer or the advent of the couch-to-dinner weekend wardrobe. Whatever the case, the old-school sweatpant, made modern with a slim cut and more refined fabrics, is now being heralded as the “new khaki.”

No one makes clothes for athletic builds anymore. I went to Old Navy the other week and all they had were skinny size pants, shirts, jackets. wtf?

I do a lot of my shopping in the black and baggy sweatpants that I sleep in every night.

The nouveau hippie boys in California have been wearing them for at least a decade (usually to cover their dreadlocks).

I don't have dreads! I just don't want to mess with my hair going to the gym.

May be popular, but to me it looks as bizarre as guys wearing their pants plumber style - with the ass showing. Fashion designers can convince people to wear anything, and are happy to take money from lemmings. I guess it's good for smuggling something into a jail. When I see someone wearing one, it just brings to mind a woman wearing a hair dryer, or those creatively masterful flowerpots that Devo used to wear on their heads. Maybe it's time for a return of the flowerpot hat for gay guys.
