Oh my god... I haven't seen snow much before, but we have about 4 inches so far. Our whole town is closed down, kids are out playing, sledding, and having fun. Everyone is super excited because some have never even seen snow at all. I'm cooking scrambled eggs right now, and think I'm about to go stick my head in the snow and see what happens. Also, I got accepted into University yesterday so I can't help but feel like I'm being rewarded.

Thank you snow for making life so much better! icon_biggrin.gif

I have always liked snow days! It's the after part that I really don't like, the shoveling and the slushy mess when it starts to melt.

I am also always happy when it snows. It looks so purifying. When it snows, I feel protected from all there evils of the world in my home. It's so beautiful.
Here's the view out of my kitchen.

Why do the backwoods inbred morons in the south think that just because there is snow they need to post it as a topic? It snows, get over it.

Josh is none of the above, other than that he lives in the South. You might try getting to know him before making the character assassination. icon_lol.gif

    Having a bad day?

First, congrats on your university acceptance. To a school in Alabama? Second, where is it snowing there? I lived in Alabama for 2 years, I saw snow each winter.

I would take that as an insult, but then I realize it's coming from you.

    Congratulations JMJ! icon_smile.gif

I miss seeing snow icon_sad.gif I don't miss living in it for any lengths of time but there is something about it that is so magical and wonderful, especially at first. It makes everything so quiet, beautiful and fun.

    Congratulations on getting accepted.

Not a big fan of snow, and luckily it hasn't snowed yet here in Netherlands. It makes life shittier.

Take the opportunity to get up at the crack of dawn and go out walking in the (fresh) snow. There is nothing like it, especially if the snowing has stopped. The quietness is eerie. There is a quality to the sounds in the air that is like at no other time.

    Neither did the Americans.

It's snowing like hell now but what really struck me was the size of the snowflakes. I've never seen snowflakes half as big. I tried to take pictures but the snowflakes didn't come out.

Perhaps you're frustrated with winter, as I am, but there's no need to be such an asshole to the sweetest kid on here. Lighten the hell up already.

    Josh, congrats man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And post some pics of the snow, although I will admit that I'm actually getting a little tired of it around here. Has only been a few days this winter when the ground hasn't been covered.

Good example of why I finally put this asshole on ignore. Josh is one of the very nicest folks on here and that still counts for something. Too bad you live on the opposite end of that spectrum.

The News is reporting *thousands* of accidents across the states. It makes me feel a little guilty about enjoying the snow so much.

I did get high-centered on the snow in my driveway trying to get out. I didn't have enough ground clearance for a two day total of 14". The last bit of the first storm was about an inch of ice and then 4 1/2 " of snow on top of that the next day.
