This is a serious problem. I have over 100 mugs. I don't even use half of them. I just bought this mug today and realized I''m an addict. I just love mugs. And there are some I still want to buy....

How do I stop the madness?

I have plenty of mugs too. I love them. I have a different mug for every month, every holiday. It's wonderful.

Next time you have finished a cup of coffee, just take the mug and throw it against the wall so it smashes into pieces. Repeat until you have a more manageable number of mugs.

I'm sure there is a tawdry reality tv show out there that specialises in dealing with weird addictions such as these.

There is a woman out there who became famous for eating cotton wool balls.

I'm not sure if this helps =]

I've considered doing an episode of "Hoarders" but is that show still on? I don't watch TV much. I would wanna lead them into my collection and say "Look at this stuff isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collections complete?" And then have the next scene be me buying another mug and say "No not complete."

And I could never smash my babies! They're too purty!

I just accidentally dropped my pure white coffee mug that I use whenever it snows. I'm heartbroken!

I buy mugs when I'm with friends doing a touristy thing or museum, aquarium, etc. But only enough so I've a coffee set. Then I stop buying. If one breaks, I replace it on my next trip out with a friend. This way my morning coffee reminds me of a good time I had with people I love.

Dont have THAT many but probably near two dozen. It is hard to part with them though as I recall the genesis of each. Plus a handful of them came from the travels of a friend who died too early. I cannot dispose of those!

I think they're what all those missing staplers transform into. icon_confused.gif

I started a "no more mugs" campaign a few years ago. I emptied an over-stuffed cupboard plus part of another. I don't actually remember what I did with them. Maybe boxes in the back of the woodshed? Anyway, there's a shelf full again. Strange, I can't remember actually ever buying a mug. icon_neutral.gif

Even if the show is still on, I don't think your addiction would qualify. The show tends to display behaviors that are either detrimental to health or it's just plain disgusting.

100 pairs of underwear??? icon_lol.gif okay. hope folks have a shitload of laundry detergent to get rid of those brown, yellow, white and even red strains when they appear.

I wish I have at least 50 pairs of them... this is like not doing laundry of underwear for a month! :O

    Depends.. are they cool mugs?

I've a collection from when I was in the US for a few months I got a mug everywhere I went. My fav is from the petrified forrest and another one from Carlsbad cavern but I have tons of them that I don't know what to do with and won't throw away.

If they are cool keep buying maybe one day you'll have an amazing collection. If they are just bog standard mugs stop buying them!

Then I really don't see any problem with your mug collection. Maybe you need a way to display them
