That is a pretty cool movie. The lamb sounds in the beginning were always real creepy.

I went and saw Halloween (H20): Twenty Years Later at a drive-in north of Philly in 1998 - what an awesome flick!

I agree with "Descent" and "Jeepers Creepers," but hands down, "Audition" really gave be the wiggins.

The original Halloween and Amityville Horror. Probably more because I watched them as a little boy.

    Bad, bad parents.

Oh come on! Before I even hit high school I already saw the major three: Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street.

    I don't know why they didn't scare me! icon_eek.gif

The Descent (and the earlier movie The Cave) were both rip-offs of the ideas on the book by Jeff Long of the same title which was much more horrifying.

The setting is the same - caves. So is the title. I suggest reading the book and see for yourselves.

As for me, I've never liked watching horror movies. Because of the gore. I'm very squeamish of open wounds so I like the more psychological/mindfuck horror ones, not the ones with lots of blood and nothing else. I tend to stick to books though. Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Robert McCammon are my favorites in that genre. However here are movies I liked (The Exorcist was already mentioned):

(Not exactly horror but I loved both of them and they got more gore than most horror films icon_razz.gif):

Grindhouse Double Feature (Planet Terror & Death Proof)
    grindhouse-poster-big.jpg

(Not exactly a film, but a video game)

    The Suffering

And lastly... the Japanese and Koreans make the most terrifying psychological horror movies ever. I like this one better than The Ring.

    Ju-on (The Grudge)

Seeing as I'm a big fan of rose mcgowan, I loved the Grindhouse series; Death Proof was the best though.

I've heard about that movie, I just haven't seen it yet. Psychological Scary movies are always interesting to watch. I don't know if you can categorize Jennifer Lopez' movie "The Cell" as horror, but that was a mind trip to me when I saw it ages ago (not at all now).

On something different, for the first time (ever) I saw the entire original "ALIEN" movie. I thought it was pretty good. I must now check out the other movies!icon_lol.gif

I have to say that Alien is by far one of the scariest movies ever. The scene with Dallas in the the air shaft really gets your heart rate going. Great achievement for a movie set in the future and in space.
