    This burns me up.

Some guy sent me this message on Adam4Adam:

..................................How hello to you handsome man can i sum of your body man

I hate when I receive messages like these, especially when I put in my profile that I am looking for intelligent and well spoken individuals.

What does a guy think will happen when he can't even commit enough to write a complete sentence? Does he think I'd want to actually meet someone with such a sloppy style?

Some guys get upset if their man splits. I get upset if my man splits an infinitive. So I can relate.

While a good grasp of the English language can often indicate intelligence and savoir faire, one must also be careful not to judge too quickly, my good Guilty. A man may stumble over 'there' and 'their', end on a preposition and even use the phrase 'more unique' but this doesn't mean he's a drooling Neanderthal. Perhaps your mysterious respondent is a stunningly beautiful Puerto Rican stud testing out his fractured ESL on you?

Take it as a compliment and thank him, maybe English is his second or third language and his grammar isnt perfect.

Nobody's asking you to buy him dinner or have a long distance internet love affair, but you could be nice and say "hey thanks bud, stay well"

If you're looking to be offended, you will.

He is hoping that he only has to perform physically, not mentally because clearly even the pick up line is difficult for him.

I didn't want to mention it because I didn't want to imply anything negative about any one group, but I know his ethnicity; he is American and has absolutely no reason to write that way.

can i sum of your body man

If this translates as 'can i have some of your body, man?' the guy could be a cannibal.
