If you have NOT done so, go out and pick up Keyshia Cole's latest album "A Different Me", it's HOT and it IS VERY different from her last 2 albums. Not as hard, man-bashing, heartache filled as the previous albums. This is definitely more uplifting and lighthearted! This is some good SHIT!!!

Here's a couple of tracks for your listening pleasure....

I FELL in LOVE with her stuff originally; so hard/gritty and passionate! It took a spin or 2 to get accustomed to this style and I gotta say I am LOVING it BIG TIME!!! It's still passionate however more on the LOVEY side now!!!

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Getting back to the man-bashing R&B singers, tho, I'm loving Jazmine Sullivan's single Bust Your Windows.

Has the Rafael Saadiq/John Legend concert come to your city yet? That was a FANTASTIC show.

ME TOO!!! I'm really glad to see a new group of female r&b artists who know their stuff, have a voice, and seem clean cut and presentable. Hopefully we are long gone from those god awful days of 1995-96 when it was as trashy and skanky as possible on MTV...

Well, music runs in cycles, so I'm sure that period will return at some point. But, you're right, it's refreshing to hear the current crop of R&B singers (male and female). I can't get enough of John Legend and I'm glad to see that Rafael Saadiq is working again. Jill Scott, Angie Stone, and Alicia Keys better watch out.

Beyonce, however, should take a break.
