Good News: I got into Johns Hopkins for Medical School! w00t w00t!

Bad News: I know nothing about Baltimore.

Where is a good neighbourhood to live?
What does one do during their off time there?
What bars, restaurants, cafes, et cetera do you recommend?

Any advice, thoughts, comments are greatly appreciated!

Congrats on med school! Sorry I cannot help with your questions about Baltimore, but I feel that an accomplishment of being accepted to such a prestigious university deserves acknowledgment. icon_biggrin.gif

I would contact student services, or the equivalent, at Johns Hopkins.
When I've been in Baltimore, the hotel staff told me I was crazy to go out walking the streets, because it was too dangerous. I didn't actually see any problems, but it sounds as if choosing the right neighborhood might be important.
