My brother really wants Power 90 but I just don't know if I want to dump the money into it. He is a very hardworking accountant for a prominent accounting firm where he works from 7am-8pm usually and crazy hours during busy season (like most accountants can relate to).

He also is married with two lovely kids but he is very attached to being an athletic so he naturally just loves Power 90. Problem is that it costs over $200 and I don't know if it is 1.) worth it and 2.) which one to buy. Amazon.com and ebay have lots of versions for completely different prices.

I assume that if I do get it for him I would get the P90x 13 DVD set. I found it on amazon for $60 (does that sound right). No manuals or anything but I am certified so if that bastard has questions he better come to me!!!

Any thoughts? I am just worried this will turn into another one of the gifts he just doesn't use because all he does is WORK WORK WORK, come home put kids to bed, work, fall asleep on the couch with his wife, go to bed at midnight, up at 5 AM, rinse and repeat. But I am sick of buying him golf outfits for his business meetings.

    Thanks

I would go straight to the source - they seem to have what you will need and you can get it for 119. I believe this may be the bare bones version but it may still come with a pullup bar - though he may want to get weights vs just having the rubberband things.

I use it and love it. But, if he's a REALLY busy guy that gets up early, get's to bed late and runs around like a wild man in between you may want to rethink the gift. Some of the workouts get up to 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours long when doing the regular and ab workout or the yoga program.

Will he have, or will he put aside the time to do the workouts?

eBay is the way to go if you decide to buy it for him. =)

He knows very well that I get very good Christmas gifts and he knows even more so that I get upset when I get him stuff he doesn't us. For his b-day I got him all the seasons of Heros and he left them in the box in the basement. "I don't have time Danny what do you want me to do?"

So I fly in to visit him and at dinner last night I get, "I want P90x"
"Dave you have no time to do anything because you are too obsessed with working"
"I will set time aside like when I get home"
    "lol ya"

The thing is he is a passive aggressive person and will blame me for his "out-of-shape-ness" if he doesn't get this.

    GRRRR DECISIONS!!!

Do you download the guides from their website? I actually think I have some PDFs from bittorrent.

hehe, when I saw the thread topic on the main page I thought you were bragging about how he got a P90 gun-- like the one they mostly used on Stargate from season 5 or so on.
