At what point does a man start:

    1) Showering with the curtain wide open, staring directly into another person's stall.

    -OR-

    2) Walking around completely naked... for hours. You can go into the gym, work out, then finish, and they'll still be sitting naked conveniently right in front of your locker

I've been all over this country for work, and it literally happens everywhere.
    Please enlighten me

It starts the first time they go to a bathhouse.
    The lines become blurred.

There must be a correlation between that behavior and age. icon_neutral.gif

Age, experience, bath houses... this is starting to make more sense

What does any of that crap mean. If someone who looks like you is in a gym and there are gay men there too, don't you think they will be looking at you? Now if they are jacking off while watching you shower, that's a problem. icon_redface.gif

Young guys are much more self conscious now. Military service cures you of that I think, cause there's is no privacy. But also when we were young no one cared, guys were not objectified. Nudity is not sex, it's just natural. There was no issue at all, it's not like "I like to be nude so I can show off". We would not assume anyone was even looking at us like that. If you saw a guy showering with shorts on you would have teased him for being a sissy. To be all shy and self-concious was feminine. Now in the U.S. it is just laughable how hung up guys are. In Europe not so much. It has nothing to do with being gay or bath houses. LOL. How did we come to this? Young guys send nude selfies out into internet land, but they can't be nude in the locker room? Just bizarre to me how this changed so much in a few years. I think it is part of the feminization of men in the last few decades.

The road to Creeper starts young. It's the not-so-good divergence from Freak.

If you're in a bath house, it's expected to stare. If you're in the gym, overt staring is incredibly uncomfortable for many people because it's not welcome. Social cues seem to be thrown out the window. I've actually had to tell a some men to stop following me and staring at me because it looks more like reckless stalking, which makes the situation uncomfortable for everyone. Shouldn't tact come with age?

Then, there was the guy who had this...

    Snapchat-20140104051331_zpsg3jhclcw.jpg

...he was also singing loudly and not quite so well. Think: James Brown in the locker room.

    It wasn't pretty.

Good point you made. Of course, the military and professional sports locker rooms can never quite be related to a gym, simply because military and sports or more 'group, commardarie' type of lockerrooms, whereas gyms are simply too 'public'.

I'm of the breed that's always been a little shy about being nude in a locker room. Especially being a minority at most gyms I go to. `I also just don't see any point of being nude in a locker room. What's the point? It's like walking around the sauna without flip flops. It's not so much a self-conscious thing, but more of a...privacy-decency issue.

When I see people walk around completely naked around the gym, in my mind I feel like they are trying to make a statement, no matter how subconscious. Whatever statement it is, is their deal. But I have a hard time believing they are just naturally wanting to walk around naked in a locker room full of strangers. Same reason why people go to nude beaches.

Nothing simply "comes with age" (except decay and smell).

With a conscious competence and years of experience one can learn to use the mirrors and peripheral vision.

Then, there's always "Candid Creeper Camera" as well. Ask about this in the Hangout.

No, you are not on the list with the 50 or so "irrelevant" profiles which I have on "Block and Ignore". One has to be a real asshat to become an irrelevant to me.

I am curious, though. What gym do you go to where they allow people to walk around completely naked? At my gym (24 Hour Fitness) they would probably call the cops if somebody was doing the Stairmaster, Squats, or Bench Press completely naked. Naked is only allowed in the locker room at my gym.

Jeez, I haven't experienced either of those,

but I do wonder how these guys keep leaving their sweaty underwear all over the place(particularly on towel hooks). I actually saw a pair with visible skidmarks outside a shower stall today.

    At what point?
Most likely the same time men began drilling holes or hiding cameras in the woman's locker room.
