She's probably ready to pimp out her granddaughters (if she has any) to some old perverted preacher in the Utah desert.....

Ok, so some crazy old lady who writes nonsense sentences ("I just don't believe that with full disclosure they would feel to continue.") posts her singular opinion in some obscure blog that a popular DIsney movie is promoting the "Gay Agenda." Seriously, WHO CARES? WHY in the name of fuck does anyone feel the need to draw attention to this or give it any importance what so ever? It doesn't mean shit and has no more relevance to anything than the addled ramblings of a complete moron.

You have to credit the woman for her creative interpretations on messages which would resonate with any marginalized person or culture:

"Elsa has a great power that she has been taught by her parents from the time she was a child, is not publicly acceptable and that she must fear its expression, at all cost, thus hide it from people, even her own sister who could be hurt by it - even killed. Shame is at the core of Elsa's feelings about her magical powers: same-sex attraction.

As Elsa’s power increases, her parents’ urge her to learn how to control it, as it would be perceived as evil to others, but Elsa can't; it's impossible. Her parents' make the decision to close the castle to the public, and lock Elsa in her room so that her power won’t be discovered. Not even her sister is allowed to see and play with Elsa: demonetization of homosexuals by society."

I just wish someone would release the gay agenda to ME. It's hard trying to follow something I've never actually seen or read. I'm told it directs me but I've never actually found a copy of it, I feel like I'm operating in the dark. icon_sad.gif

    Can somebody help me, please?

Easily: It is to normalize homosexuality such that it is acceptable within society to openly identify as homosexual (aka "gay") and receive the same rights and protections under the law that heterosexuals do.

Though you could insert any characteristic in there: sexuality, a piano prodigy, name your artistic talent, a lucid dreamer, a math wiz, a charlatan, et al.

It could have been Joseph Smith or Brigham Young locked in that castle. Just imagine what power to start your own religion.

Is that creative or just filling in the Mad Libs

    Point.

"Art" (variously intended) is a Rorschach or Gestalt onto which one projects one's own "meaning" (variously informed by the stream of associations within which one has developed and resides).

As my 85-year-old Father said to me, after I answered his question in 1996 about what the Internet is all about:

"Oh, is that all it is? I thought it was something difficult."

I thought that's what I said - resonate=project. But I guess clarification was in order.

Oh, well, now I see the sarcasm.

I should have caught that by your correct sentence structure. My bad.

For reason unknown to me even upon reflection--maybe something clicked weirdly in my head from having just read the article to then reading your summation--but when I read "You have to credit the woman for her creative interpretations on messages which would resonate with any marginalized person or culture" I somehow missed the various resonations of a message about which she interpreted specifically.

My apologies for any misleading of others I may have inadvertently caused.

Hey, you're not allowed to go back and edit after I've commented. Particularly not when I was being so God damned gracious!

Though I can tell now what threw me off. And it shouldn't have. It was your sarcasm. And I really should be the guy who should have caught that. It was you "crediting her imagination" which threw me off. My prior apology is herewith rescinded as offered but replaced instead for misreading your wit.

Actually, I wasn't being sarcastic with the "Glad you..." comment because sometimes my posts are so long they're unclear and I appreciated the clarification. In fact, that's why I edited down my second post before I saw your reply, which I'm only seeing now. Which of course just adds to the confusion.

My, people come and go so quickly here.

Of course it's confusing. Eager, you kept switching gears. You gave a perfectly reasonable explanation before you said the "glad you" part which thereby came off properly sarcastic due to your explanation but then you edited out your explanation switching gears midstream and then denied the sarcasm. I don't know what was your motivation to do that. Either it's playing games which I do not like, or you had a temporary loss of confidence in your own train of thought which you need to strengthen because your explanation sounded to me very on target. But then you second guessed yourself and moved the target.

This is not uncharacteristic of you, by the way, being a moving target. You think that keeps you safe. It is your defense mechanism. I've noticed it manifesting numerous times expressed in various ways. You are the Desperado.

Sometimes I jump the gun posting before I collect my thoughts, and then edit a post within a minute of posting.

In this case I wish you'd quoted the perfectly reasonable explanation that I edited out (along with the part you did quote, the part I realized might be construed as sarcastic) - because even I can't remember it!

Sorry I don't recall it verbatim but I do recall that it was completely accurate. So much so that you brought to my attention that my thinking was off base, thus my apology.

But you both tend to zig when the other guy zags and you're overly self-conscious about presentation, possibly from the scrutiny you think you felt from your mom, if I might be so bold.

I think your problem is less jumping the gun and more second guessing. You're a smart guy, you can figure shit out. Overthinking then is the next step to overcome. I recognize that readily, being a self-inflicted victim of my own analysis paralysis. Intellectualizing can be a great tool but also it can get in the way, particularly when it distracts us from our true feelings.

But how do we know our true feelings unless we think about that.
