I'm starting P90X but I have wood floors and even my yoga mat doesn't provide enough comfortable support when I'm jumping around. Anybody know of any good fitness mats that provide comfort and doesn't move around when you're moving on it?

The good ones are pretty expensive. The ones I've seen at local sporting good stores are much too soft. The commercial ones designed for MMA or grappling are good. I have some 4 x 8 folding grappling mats from RevGear. They run approx $200. They are also in my gym and hold up well to continual use in a club setting.

If you want to do it on the cheap, order of a couple of treadmill mats. They cost about 20 dollars, 40 if you buy 2.

Try these,...LINKING MATS. I have them on my 2nd bedroom I have done P90X with no problem, also great for abdominal workouts. They provide ample support and protect the carpet from sweat, etc. I got these at Lowe's.

They also come in colors, for the gay theme inspired in all of usicon_biggrin.gif

These are 2-ft W x 8-ft , and will run you $19.98, so it depends how much square foot your planning to cover.

I looked at these as an option and seem like a great choice. Thanks for the tip! The gay theme one might be a little distracting though. ;-)

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I've also been considering an Everlast folding mat. It looks like wouldn't be stable but the reviews seem to say otherwise.

I have been doing P90X for a couple of months now. Beachbody sells a mat for doing P90X on hardwood floors. I used that for a while and last week I pulled the carpet out of my spare bedroom and installed the linking mats from Lowes. Love them!
