You guys are paying so less. I feel bad for paying too much for my gym.
I used to pay 53 Euro (~73 USD) per month, but for last two months, I have been paying 64 (~88 USD) Euro. I know it's too expensive, but right now there is lot of uncertainty with my geographical location. Therefore, I can't go for a whole year of membership, which is also 30 euro (~41 USD). Even after being so expensive, I find my gym small and there aren't enough squat machines. Netherlands is so damn expensive. icon_evil.gif

I pay $185 at Equinox. Yes it's very expensive but it's so huge and beautiful. They also have child care, so while I can work out they have someone to watch my son.

I use to pay $80 at Crunch and another $100 at Yoga works. I just combined the two at Equinox, and yes their yoga studio is lovely. And the plus is child care for me.

Oh... I also can get a message at their spa too, again while I'm doing that someone is taking care of the rug rat.

I pay $29 a month. I have no mandatory length contract and can cancel it at anytime. My rate cannot go up for any reason for the entire length of my membership. I can put it on hold for up to 13months unless special conditions apply and not pay a dime for that period and it still stays at 29 when I take it off hold.

Same here. LA Fitness is one of the best deals out there. Clean Gym, plenty of equipment, well laid out. Plus economical.

I agree. They're all over the place here in Dallas, so I use 2 of them during the same week all the time.
The one near work is in a business park area, so lots of sharp men there. The other is close to home and it's easy in, easy out.

Actually mine isn't a budget but got a great deal years ago where if I paid for the entire year I would get it for $99 US forever after so I did it. They were banking on me quitting before the first year ended....didn't happen and I've been there about 20 years now...their loss! LOL

Mine is included in my HOA and it is by the far the nicest and best-equipped gym I've ever been in.

I actually have one at my place too that comes with my HOAs but because I have such a cheap deal at 24 hr fitness, I can't see getting rid of it because I can use it anywhere they are located.

I think that's the plan for most of these places. Offer an incentive to collect more up front since most people end up dropping out anyway. They collect your money, you quit going, they win.

There are some gyms here where more you go, less you pay.
But again, those gyms aren't really well equipped or spacious.
I think in USA, you guys are better off in this regard, there are whole lot of options available.

LOL, love your accent. I mean, I get what "gone walks" means (taken or stolen) but how the hell one uses a bench press bar as a "landmine" leaves me clueless.

    Short version: WUT???
