Original Thread Title: DFW Area Real Jocks ! ! !, We Have to Vote on Expanding Protection to Include Sexual Orientation; Medicaid expansion also.

I voted yesterday, Sunday, early voting, Collin County.

Here's the wording from a sample ballot.

    ON NON-DISCRIMINATION LEGISLATION

The Congress and the Texas Legislature should adopt legislation that expands protections against discriminations in employment, housing, and public accommodations based upon sexual orientation and gender identity.

    MEDICAID EXPANSION

The Governor and the Texas Legislature should accept federal funds: as provided in the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act of 2010; for the expansion of Medicaid to provide coverage to millions of uninsured Texans.

Texas will never change. You damned well know that come November, the right wing republican candidate will get elected governor by an overwhelming majority of Texans. The democratic candidate doesn't stand a chance, she is just pissing against a hurricane force wind. As for these propositions, the right wing ones will be approved by the mass majority of Texas voters. Texas will always be a religious, conservative state. That is why I fled there and moved back home.
