    I like brown to dark hair and blue/green/gray eyes typically.

    Is it weird to be attracted to someone similar to you?

    I agree with Mike.

    Aside from that, I usually go for guys with darker hair, but I can't say if anything else sticks out to me as specifically different or similar to what I'm like.

    I get told that I look like Jason Carroll from CNN. He's hot, so I guess my answer is yes.

    Come on, Mike. You are not ugly at all. From you picture I think you look just fine.

    Will I be attracted to guys like me. I guess I will. I always have physical attraction toward darker skin, tropical , islander tanned look and masculine type. I am doing ok financially, interesting enough to carry converstion, excellent in bedroom and making love skill (after all those years of playing the field). Maybe better is he is a little bit more muscular and slightly more thinner than me. Then it will be excellent.

    NO! I resemble my mother. The oedipian possibilities are too horrendous to contemplate!

    PS. I ONLY resemble her facially, so forget that smart crack you were about to make.

    I have given up on trying to define the criteria my brain uses on the rest of my body when it comes to attraction. I am constantly betrayed by a combination of lust and an appreciation for variety.

    That being said, I would say the reverse is true...I think that I try to emulate the type of guys I am attracted to. As a work in progress, I often seek out the company of the type of man that I would like to be...

    OMG, a resounding NO!
    For me, I don't see how my world can be broadened and made better by dating someone like myself. Though it would provide a level of visual comfort, it wouldn't challenge me to go beyond myself.

    Yes, but I prefer guys who are different. I was at a club a few weeks back and the guys that attracted me most where
    1) a brooding dark haired 6'2" muscular but not ripped guy with full facial hair and some chest hair;
    2) a 5'4" muscular and lean hottie with an ivy league face and bare chest;
    3) a oriental muscular lean guy my hieght - 5'8" - he was dancing on the stage and worked up a sweat on his hairless torso. He was in blue jeans with a thick black belt. The whole effect was hot.

    The only thing they all had in common was dark hair and around my age.

    zakariahzol,

    I was just joking :) Although I would not regard myself as hot. But thanks for the complement.

    it would be nice if that were true, i think if guys would be interested in guys who are similar to themselves, you wouldnt have so many guys pissed off that guys don't respond to them, they must have an attitude....... GET A CLUE GUYS, IF YOUR 350LBS AND NEVER WORK OUT A DAY IN YOUR LIFE... there's a good chance a guy who's good looking and totally ripped is not going to be interested in you. Stick with guys that you have something in common with, and might resemble you

    I find little as creepy as those ads on Manhunt and the like that include 200 words of glowing self-description followed by "UB2" or "looking for same."

    Isn't the whole point of the myth of Narcissus that you can't love/possess your own image, even as an "other"?

    It's that kind of overly emotional response that makes me doubt your masculinity. I'll try to clear up the misconception with all our gay brethren here in the northeast.

    You shut the fuck up you fucking big tittied nanny goat. Geesh.

    To some extent based on my past BF's
    one of them looked so much like me that we were mistaken for brothers...we used to get a kick out it
    but most of the others didn't resemble me

    I consider myself a mutt so it(attraction to) can only get better in the non-resemblance category.

    With regards to body type: hair skin colour etc I think I have a natural affinity to guys with brown/black hair and with a solid physical presence,the last point at least, is a resemblance to me).

    Uh... what part of "homosexual" are you not clear about?

    Really, the only two guys I've ever seen who physically resemble me are my Dad (eewwwww definitely not!) and Christopher Lambert (umm... like yeah...) So I have a mixed response. But I'm also attracted to lots of guys (and girls) who look nothing at all like me in any way.

    They say that old married folks start to resemble each other, after many years.

    I once started writing a science fiction / porn story, on the premise that lovers could attain each others traits, over time, through horizontal gene transfer. Maybe I'll finish it some day.
