woodsmen saidDo you eavesdrop all the time? Does it happens even though you don’t seek out opportunities. These slices of language come to you through the air, begging to be heard, like small, precious gifts you cannot refuse, mini vacations into other lives.
Absolutely not. When my husband gets a telephone call I go into the office and close the door so I can't overhear. When I walk past his computer I avert my eyes. His privacy is absolute to me.
If he wants to tell me or involve me he will. It's not that I think he's hiding anything, to me it's a matter of respect, and trust. I simply don't listen or look. His privacy is sacred to me, his own space that he reveals to me as he chooses.
As for others, I likewise try not to violate their space. Your privacy is your own special place. Unlike some guys here do, I won't do Internet searches about you, and try to research you. If I won't even look at my husband's computer screen, do you think I'm gonna do searches on YOU?
So no, I don't eavesdrop, even when my husband is on the phone. That's déclassé and an insult to him, and likewise an insult if I attempt something similar with you on the computer.
