All countries have skeletons in the closet. But you can hardly compare what is happening in Uganda, Russia and some other places to the situation in the US.

You make a point, but having the State Department do this makes a loud statement at home. I heard it quoted in the Arizona debate - it simply makes the cave-dwellers look even more out of touch and out of step. When the UK accepted LGBT's into the army, it had an impact here. It all adds us, just as Russia's anti-gay laws have poured more shame on bigots here.

Those kids holding that sign "Obama leave us alone", they do realize Uganda gets $400 million in foreign aid from the US, right? Careful for what you wish for...

Despite our anti-gay contingent, we're farther along on gay rights than MANY so-called modern countries. The Democrats are showing leadership by pushing policies and passing laws as they can at home and encouraging other countries to follow suit.

Damn, haven't you been paying attention to the utterances of our RJ conservaposse? Democrats HATE gays, it's the Republicans who love us. Clearly you need to be reminded:

    - Obama is the enemy of gays, he's just doing all this to placate his base and attract gay voters, he really doesn't mean it

    - Republicans are the friends of gays, they're just trying to pass anti-gay social legislation to placate their base and attract anti-gay voters, they really don't mean it

And if you can't believe the above, don't forget their fall-back position:

"Well, gay civil rights don't really matter, they're just overrated 'special rights' you don't really need, so vote Republican anyway. There's nothing wrong with second-class citizenship, the problem is that you're fixating on it too much, being self-centered. It's not a patriotic American problem that needs attention, like preventing gun control, busting unions, outlawing abortion, waging useless wars to enrich campaign donors, eliminating health & safety regulations to benefit corporations over citizens, and restricting voter rights."

Can't go more than one entire day without baiting us, can you Bobbi? And then you wonder why you're in the number of food fights you're in.

Huh, Kerry's State Dept increased Foreign Aid to Nigeria where gays are executed by stoning.

Obama gave Pakistan over 1 billion dollars in October where gays are imprisoned.

The irony here is that it is US groups that export this hatred.

    http://americablog.com/2013/10/homophobia-inc-americas-newest-export-hate-part-1-3.html

We need to deal with them in proper legal measures first/in conjunction.

Here's John Forbes Kerry's family before all that "marrying $igns"

This family, wealthy since the 1800s

    &
This family in American politics since the 1600s...

He didn't have to go find a rich girl. They come to him.

Dunno. The guy just kind of creeps me out. (How do you arrange to have a personal photographer following you around in a war? Also showed up here on a really creepy campaign stop, claiming to be a regular at the local sport. Never been seen before or after. (In all fairness, I've seen Ferraro and Bush campaign stops which were equally creepy.)) Can't help thinking he's frantically positioning himself just in case Hillary blows up.

it's that mr bottomtooth head he's got, something's not right with the water in boston, too many guys have similiar protruding jaws, ted kennedy john kerry, jay leno, even ben affleck though i think his is still growing in.

either that or the gene pool isn't very deep there.

The Middle East is on fire. China and Russia are on the march. It's nuclear business as usual in Iran. Iraq and Afghanistan look like lost causes.

The Dear Leader's foreign policy is to screw any allies the U.S. has left, appease our enemies, and hollow out the military.

The world is looking like a more dangerous place every day.

Here's an idea: put two dimwit ex-senators in charge of the military and the State Department.

What is Kerry worried about? Climate change and gay rights.

    [Seals clapping.]

Perhaps if Bush wouldn't have lied to go into Iraq, and we had turned Afghanistan into a crater on September 12, 2001, those two countries wouldn't be "lost causes."
