Conservative Quandary

Here lies a huge dilemma for conservatives of a certain bent: continue to pander to social reactionaries and create these opprobrious and embarrassing anti-LGBT laws - or practice what they say they believe in: the free market. The free market has clearly learned that homophobia is bad business, leaving conservatives in a quandary: what do they believe in? Unobtrusive government and the free market, or the mean-spirited social doctrines of the "religious" right?

My theory is that conservatives/Republicans want less government control when it comes to taxes and businesses, but then they want more government control when it comes to moral and social issues. Likewise, liberals/Democrats are just the opposite; more government control over businesses, less for moral issues.

So when they say "less government" they're really only talking about taxes and such.

Yup, they want to hoard money without interference, but they want the government to stop faggots.

I think that sums things up nicely and accurately.
