So I am about to graduate college and would love to start running some trails. Where are some of the best trails you all have ran that you suggest to try?

Where do you live now that you've graduated? I live in Bozeman, Montana, and most of my trail running experience is in the mountains surrounding the Gallatin Valley. I have done a bit down in the Bighorns on the WY/MT border and some around Spearfish, SD. I ran one of my favorite trails this morning: Sourdough Canyon Trail south of Bozeman, in the Hyalite Range.

This trail follows Bozeman Creek down from Mystic Lake to the valley floor. It's a terrific 8-mile run one-way up to the lake.

    Happy running!

We have miles of trails in Los Angeles. Just 5 miles from downtown is Griffith park, with ~30 miles of trail and 2 peaks at 1800'. Then the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains to the east and the Malibu mountains to the west, and Palos Verdes in the South Bay. And that's without leaving LA County -- you can proceed west to Ventura County or south to the Santa Ana mountains of Orange County for more.

If you can hike it, you can run it:
