I was just outside on the job site sweating my ass off and looking forward to tomorrow when I get to fly to Ohio where it's snowy and cold. It's all a matter of perspective. When it's sunny and 80-90 every single day, it's nice to visit the cold and blustery Northeast every once in a while - especially around the holidays.

I have to say that although it's a pain in some ways, I much prefer this dry cold and deep snow to the mudbath that will follow when it all melts.

Although I seem to have come down with a cold today. icon_sad.gif Apparently one trip to town for supplies is too much human contact.

Sitting back, drinking hot chocolate with Bailey's, and admiring the beautiful snow! Nothing like a storm to put you in the holiday spirit. icon_smile.gif

I wish it was snowing here in NC. The most we get is cold weather. And if it does snow, everything goes berserk! Just 1/4 inch snow on the ground is enough to send people into panic mode. Add to that, its not even the good snow! There isn't even enough moisture to make snow balls...its all powder-ish!!! icon_evil.gif

It is nice to see another RJ member who loves this song. Poignant, sad and very true. It is a pity Kirsty MacColl is no longer with us (it has been 15 years?).

Burn down the barn and roast some marshmellows!

Contrary to hippie-whicheverwing-conspiracy mumbojumbo, corn syrup is good for you! icon_biggrin.gif

Died in 2000 while on vacation, so it is not as long as I thought. I do remember reading about her death in the year-end edition of Billboard (she died on December 18th).

Her song "New England" is a classic.
