That Barack Obama won the Presidential election and the wacky Sarah Palin is still at least 4 years from the presidency (shudder the thought). But most of all I am thankful that 2008 is over. I am poorer, older but still employed!

wouldn't this have been better, like a month ago? for like thanks-um-giving?

    anyway, i am thankful for:

    1. the airlines -- been to florida twice, colorado twice to visit mom n pop in january and july, and added two new countries to the list of places i've been -- switzerland and england.

    2. my roommate -- we can both be crazy together and the rest of the world wouldn't know until they check out facebook and see the pictures

    3. my friends -- the ones i rely upon to keep me headed toward my goals and i for them as well

    4. my family -- the brothers that have kept me sane the past couple of years and have seen grow in that amount of time

    5. my religious community -- because i don't think i could have lived in OC for the past 7 years without meeting genuine, sincere, and happy people

    6. the american people -- for showing we can wisely choose our president

uhh, 7. facebook -- i wouldn't know as much as i do know about all my friends around the world with out this insidious waste of time.

    that's about it.

LOLicon_lol.gif I'm glad someone found a good memory for it.

I have good memories concerning the hat, too, but they are very personal. icon_twisted.gif

I no, I did not do anything with the hat. icon_razz.gif

I am thankful for my brother, for leaving me with numerous gifts this year:

He gave me financial means for me to deal with some of my debt and provided means of making my life comfortable.

He gave me the gift of freedom of growing up from my old selfish self to a person who cares about those around him.

He gave me the means that whenever I remember him, that I should smile icon_smile.gif and live on life no matter how hard it gets.

He gave me the gift to say good-bye to him as he drew his final breath. That his free from his pain which cancer brought down upon his health and his fiance.

Thank you kuya, thank you my brother.

If you make a gratitude list for yourself - you might be amazed at how much you have to be thankful for.

For me - let's start with great friends, family, work that I love (most of the time!) as well as good health - everything on me is working fine and looking pretty much o.k. (for such high mileage!) I'm grateful especially for a few special guys who have come into my life this year. It'll be fun seeing where things go. Oh - I can't forget my two dogs - both chows - my *kids* - what would I do without 'em?

    Lots of things. . .

    My health

    My cool job (usually anyway)

My family + friends (and their continued health)

Living in Florida and at the beach

    Upcoming cool projects

I'm reasonably happy with the way my body looks (although it's still under construction lol)

The 2008 elections worked out really well, I'm so glad Obama is the next Prez

Our country is finally going green (albeit slowly)

And seriously, I am so glad Bush is leaving the White House. I'm not trying to turn this into another political thread, but he has been such a disaster (today, even Pat Robertson, of all people, said on CNN that Bush's handling of Katrina, the bailout, etc, was "terrible" and LOL "unprofessional." Thank god he and his minions are getting out of there before they completely destroy this country (and that is not an exaggeration for effect)!

I am thankful for my health.

I am thankful for having my family around me for the holidays, including my 93 y.o. mom.

I am thankful for my friend Tim....we have our moments that are unlike any I have had with any friend in my life.

I am thankful for my new friends that I have met, including MIke, fitgm here on RJ, and others that I have not yet met, like meninlove and manhy others, and old friends who are local....who have stuck with me.

Like GQ.....I am so thankful that Bush, and particularly, Cheney will soon be gone, and that a progressive force is now to be in the White House.

I am happy that I am an American, because despite our excesses, we still have the right idea on many issues, and we still have so many freedoms that others do not enjoy.

I am thankful that I found RJ....it's been so good for me.

    Anyway, Happy Holidays guys....

    John
