How often in a day do you shower?

At a minimum I try to take a shower 2x a day. That means one in the early morning and another that evening before hitting the sack.

It's a given to take one after working out at the gym. That's one of the most germ ridden environments. Yet I see dudes come off the floor, sweaty and all, change back into the clothes they arrived in and be out. Hell my friend doesn't even bother to shower once he gets home.

Then take into account outside grime, a body's secretion of oil and cell turnover, bowel movements and the thought of going to bed like that is just yech!!!

However is it just me and for others it's the norm to go at least 24 hours in between showers??

Oh yeah, what about during the summer when sweating is at all time high?

That's a ridiculous waste of water. You might be a germophobe.

Twice a day if the first shower was earlier in the day. Once a day on those days that I don't get my butt out the door until after it's dark; being retired there are often days where I never get dressed, or don't get dressed to go out until after dark.

1 or 2 times a day. Most of the time, just once, after the gym.

Yes and No. I'll admit that to some degree I'm a germophobe - it's in my profile as well. But moreso I just like to be relatively clean instead of taking 'All Day' to bed with me and having a case of Swamp Ass.icon_lol.gif

Twice/day. Once in the morning to be fresh and once in the evening after gym. If I don't gym, then once, or occasionally if I gym in the morning, just once after.

Always after exercise. But otherwise I let my hair determine it. I still have an oily scalp at 65, and my hair looks awful if not washed daily, a total chaotic greasy haystack. icon_razz.gif

If I have to go out on short notice, and I haven't recently showered, I wear a hat. icon_redface.gif

Usually once a day, either morning or after my workout. Twice if I'm working out later after I've showered in the morning.

Save water, limit your showers to when you really need to shower. We're in a drought here you know!

Edit: corrected my misspelled word...must have been thinking about my parched throat when I typed draught. Thanks Sulla!

Once or twice a day, depending on what I'm doing.

... on those rare sex-marathon days, it might be four or five times icon_twisted.gif

But... you guys realize, I hope, that you don't have to take 'hollywoood showers.' You can take 'sailors showers' with a fraction of the water.

I work in construction so I always shower as soon as I come home. And if I get lucky in the bedroom then add another one in the morning. So, that's 1 or 2 per day.

    Never.

    We use the tub.

Due to a dry skin condition, my doctor has even suggested fewer baths if possible. If I am not active I will often skip a day. It is a bit strange but keeps me from itching. Dry skin can be really uncomfortable.

Once a day, usually at night or early morning. I may skip washing my hair once a day if I feel lazy.

I shower once a day, but only because it's a habit. It's not that I shower because I feel very unhygienic, but to get new energy.

Showering twice a day is too much already. Isn't your skin super dry then?

Dermatologist recommend to shower only once a week. They say that more than that is not really healthy for the skin. But I wouldn't be able to shower only once a week. It'd feel awkward.
