Or when they had the musical Gap commercials. "Dress you up in my Love", "Saffron" and "Yellow Mellow"

You know, I was thinking the same thing, Dfrourke. They were on such a roll there for a few years.

Samer, I haven't heard anything recently, but they did scale back a few years ago. They shut several stores. I can't remember if they were in Chapter 11, but they were having a tough time. I assumed they had a financial model that was working for them, because I haven't heard any thing recently about troubles. But this is a really bad time for retailers. It would be very sad if they went out of business.

My fave was the one with Jeliet Lewis and daft Punk with Digital Love as the song.

It seems like Gap only makes ad's for Old Navy these days but there ads are usually uber annoying and make me want to have a seizure.

Thous ads were in the Gaps glory days, the company isn't doing so well these days.. Maybe more ads like that would bring about some much needed excitment in the brand.

samerphx saidIt is a rumor that Gap is out of business? I wasn't sure and I have heard this from many people.

Came pretty close. Abercrombie, American Ap. and other stores have eaten into there profits big time.

If they didn't have Banana Republic they prolly would have sunk long ago and even BR is loosing its apeal and brand image.
