In many ways for me, 2008 has been a year of incredible acheivements and the worst nightmares. Overall, my feeling is that 2008 was not so good.

So another new year is coming. Hopes and dreams....goals and taking chances.

Do you think 2009 will be better?

After so many years of the Bush Administration how can you not want for 2009 to be better.

Let's keep the hope alive and do our best to make 2009 a year we won't forget, full of new accomplishments, better relationships, and an improved economy.

After all, a new year is only as good as we allow it to be regardless of what life will throw at us. icon_cool.gif

Hopes and dreams are what it's all about, that's why I love the new year.

When I get back to working again, everyone will be happy.

That should happen sometime next year. (The earlier the better.)

I think 2009 will continue to look ugly by the numbers, but I think that people will begin to cut back from the rat-race of individualism - which naturally leads to materialism - and work on relationships more. Its the dirty little secret in a consumer economy - the real wealth is friends and relationships and you can't buy them. Walmart doesn't stock friendship.

It's going to be a lot better than 3-9....

Professionally, 2008 was our best year ever. It'll be tough for 2009 to match it, but maybe we'll hire some good people, continue to grow and have an even better year.

On the home front things worked out pretty well. Matt and I had talked about going to California to get married, but while the legal component is on hold we'll likely go out there to visit friends. Probably makes more sense for us to get married in Windsor, anyhow.

Between a re-org at work, and a family member starting Hospice in July, 2008 SUCKED!!!! 2009 has to be better, although I have no idea how much longer the Hospice will be.
