Some gay men view themselves as females on the inside, whether they admit it or not. When you see a guy who freaks out over having hair on his body, he normally ends up being a little girl inside. But they make up ridiculous excuses like it's cooler being hairless or hair is "dirty" and other stupid shit.

Isn't manscaping just about trimming your pubes? Not about being completely hairless

I can't comment on this, because in your profile you have no body pictures to judge if this is a necessary for you.

Even if they do nothing else, these days it appears almost every man trims the pole.

Seriously. I think straight guys watch too much porn. They trim or shave off all their pubes more than gay guys.

Who can be bothered to actually remove every hair off their body. I'm actually hoping for some body hair at some point and I'd potentially trim but I wouldn't remove it.

I definitely find a huge bush around the cock and balls unattractive but, I guess it would sort of depend on the guy too.

I believe in a little trimming & clean-up. Think of your body as a garden. What's wrong with a little tending / weeding? Don't overdo it. Much better to trim a little than to have your boyfriend picking pubes out of his teeth after he goes down on you. Seriously. Who disagrees?

If you get a hair cut then it makes sense to trim the hair everywhere else. I personally like the way my skin feels when I'm trimmed. It looks better on me.

OMG, been there, done that, gagged!

There's nothing wrong with a little trim down there. Keeps you cool in summer and brings about some enhancements in the size department icon_wink.gif

You got to manscape. Nobody likes going down on a tumbleweed.

All I am saying is it makes it sweeter for the eater. I do just because I think it looks better and less sweating that way also

    BINGO! A winner!

Manscaping is driven as much by the preferences of a man's sex partners as by his own appearance concerns. In fact, his partners may actually override his own desire to remain naturally bushy. And that goes equally for gay & straight guys.

And while some guys like nuzzling a heavy thatch with their nose, even they may not want a hairy pole or balls in their mouth. So as eagermuscle suggests, almost every guy trims at least the edible parts.

It's so mainstream now. I noticed a commercial yesterday on ESPN for Gillette's body razor.

Just don't 'scape that hairy belly down to a fake treasure-trail mustache, IMHO. I've seen this go so wrong...

In Latin culture trimmed seems to be the rule and even women prefer their men trimmed, I prefer to be trimmed and I think I is more than the look (which I think is sexy) but it is also for hygiene and cleanliness

Don't a lot of guys at least shave their balls? I thought that was common for everyone...but that being said I don't mind manscaped or not.

It doesn't really matter to me whether people do it or not, but I kind of like my natural body hair (which isn't incredibly overwhelming or anything) and I wish more guys would keep it natural as well.

And I just have to say... it's one thing to shave or shape your body hair when you're covered in it... but the guys who have so little to begin with who then remove even the small amount they have just look too much like little kids or cartoon characters or something for my taste. They're welcome to do it, but it's not flattering.

i guess i'll be the last man on earth who refuses to manscape. i don't care. it just grows back. i'm not going to fight nature. it's annoying enough keeping facial hair under control and the hair on my head in-line. if you don't like a bush then go get with one of the million other trimmed/hairless guys, i know there's someone out there who will dig it.

i shaved my chest one time as a curiosity and not only did i regret the aesthetic look of it, but it ended up leaving pink bumps/ingrown hairs and whatnot that took forever to go away. lesson learned
