cartrich saidI have a patch in the small of my back just above my ass crack.
That is extremely common with men, and I have it, too. Mine's right at the very top of the crack, but not on the back itself. I've seen guys who almost have a ponytail there.
My back hair appeared out of nowhere in my early 40s, along with heavy ass hair. WTF? NOW I have heavy body hair?
When I started going to gay nude beaches and bathhouses beginning at 46 I didn't want that hair, it looked totally incongruous given my still-slender build. Plus I thought it made me look older, something I had learned was generally a liability in the gay community.
But I was single, so I taught myself (not without some difficulty) how to shave my own back. Gawd I was furry, hair in the bathtub like I was trimming a dog.
Today, BTW, most of the back hair is gone again, either advancing old age and/or my cancer treatment to blame.
My first partner didn't like body hair, so he took over the shaving duties. Even shaving my chest at one point. I think he really preferred younger guys than me (I was not quite 3 years younger than him, me in my early-mid 50s then), and he liked a slender otter look. I didn't really care myself, whatever pleased him.
