This is not about being serious, this is about you being a lame jerk wanting to draw attention on you when you don't even have 10 posts here.
If you wanna be 'funny' tell a joke.

My ancestors came here from Latvia. Actually, they went to Canada. But a long time ago. No idea what they think about Ukraine.

Can't figure out what this post is really about - none of the answers seem to relate to the Crimea.

But, FWIW, the re-connection to Russia seems to have been inevitable, ever since Gorabchev let the Soviet Union be dismantled. The Crimea has been a part of Russia since before the first Russo-Turkish War, and the vast majority of the inhabitants are Russian. Putin has power, and used it. Toothless Obama "sanctions" aren't going to change anything. They are just the usual lip service.

I would guess Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania are safe - too well connected to Europe - and there would be war or other consequences if Putin tried to move in that region.

If we can't get rid of Texas by giving it back to its lawfully right owner, Mexico than we can still get rid of Texas by making it a UN administered special reservation for the tea party and all their FLAKY FUNDAMENTALIST supporters.

Joke circulating in the Russian Duma: Ivan, I see you're not on the sanctions list - you must not be working hard enough.
