I've just started using Colgate Plax mouthwash and I notice yellowish/ brownish stains on my teeth. I brushed my teeth real hard but it won't come off.

Any of you have had a similar experience?

dont brush your teeth "real hard" brahh
that aint gonna help. You'll brush the enamol off those chompers.
Which sounds like that's what u already did.

The mouthwash only exposed what was alreay there maybe??
Same shit happened to me like 2 years ago. I noticed after using this mouthwash i had this small brown mark on a tooth toward the back of my mouth. I thought "fuck i got a cavity" and went to dentist. . . dentist told me it wasn't a cavity, but an area where the enamol wore off cuz I was brushing too hard. He had to like put this bonding over it.

I'm really particular about having nice teeth.
My parents spent too much money for me to not keep them perfect. icon_cool.gif

My guess is that it's the plaque that's getting stained.

Maybe it's time to go to the dentist and have the hygienist scrape the plaque off? You should be having that done at minimum once a year; twice a year is typical. I had periodontal problems so after I had that cleaned up I had to go 4 times a year; now I'm down to 3 times a year.

If you don't get the plaque taken off regularly it gets below the gums and causes your jaw bone to dissolve. It's a slow process and takes several years but eventually your teeth get loose and you'll get bloody gums. I lost 2 teeth because of this. I have very sensitive teeth and wasn't getting them cleaned for several years because it hurts so much.

My plaque gets stained brown from coffee. After I've had my teeth cleaned by the hygienist the coffee stains are gone. I only drink 1 cup a day now so it's not as bad as it used to be.

Hey dude. Listen to Bonaparts01. He pretty much hit the nail on the head.
Don't stress man. I'm sure it's not serious and can be cleaned off.
