immunity saidA total flop, just like the album.

Yeah, she's played out. Madonna and Gaga need to retire and remove themselves from pop culture permanently.

I liked the actualy video (and song) once we got to it. Then again, I like her in general, so I may be biased.

Yeah, have to admit I wish it was shorter and just featured G.U.Y. She has a habit of making videos that little bit too long.

    bonaparts01 saidLady Flopga

She is a cheap unattractive pretentious stunt that makes crap music and portrays herself as musical genius while in reality most of her songs are co written and co produced and her style is mostly copy of other people

and this skank is obsessed with fame and getting higher on charts, that is why she asked her dumb fans to buy her crap song applause multiple times and watch ehr crap video to get higher on billboard

I identify myself as an observer of pop more than a fan of any particular artist, and the above quote is a good example of the excessive negativity surrounding Lady Gaga. No other artist seems to get this level of scrutiny of "Oh? She wasn't #1 or even #10? Her career is OVER! Ha, she's toast! Yes!"

When in reality, it's like this for every artist out there. Some have hits, some have one hit, it's whatevs. She's a pop artist, definition of unoriginality. But much more influential.

    Why overthink that?

I like the video. It's very well done & seriously it might be the best she's ever done -at a production level.

some parts kind of remind me of those bizarre 70's movies. like jesuschrist superstar or somthing. idk

I've really gone off Gaga in recent years, but this is fab. There's something about this track which reminds me so much of Bad Romance and Poker Face.

I miss this Gaga, but wish she'd drop the Artpop crap. We just want decent pop without the theatrics.

I have a way off observing celebrities in terms of Stars.

There are Red Stars, who are people who have stuck around for ages well after they're done and they become very cringeworthy.

Yellow Stars; celebrities like Kylie, P!nk and other current celebrities who are still quite famous, up with the times and put out good stuff on a relatively regular basis.

Then there are Blue Stars. Gaga is probably the best example. Bieber is another. They have an INSANE level of fame and get cults forming after them. Body modification, tattoos, emotional breakdowns on the slightest of movements and all the rest. Then they suddenly collapse in being liked and become instantly desperate for attention, so they do the stupidest things to remain relevant.

So Gaga is a blue star collapsing to whatever it is they collapse into icon_razz.gif

Not that I necessarily disagree, but how can you say someone is a blue star comparatively to a yellow, when they haven't been around anywhere near as long? I don't think anyone looked at pink and thought she would be relevant this much later.

I get your point. I suppose I see the difference in the blue and yellow in terms of the degree of fame and attention given to them.

One could say that even though Kylie gets less attention (except maybe in Europe icon_razz.gif ), she is still just as successful as she ever was. P!nk maybe less so, but she's still successful. She might become a Brown Dwarf soon... icon_wink.gif

It's not an exact thing I do, just the overall look icon_razz.gif

I agree with what you're getting at, I just don't see anybody with an intense level of fame fading into complete obscurity. I.e. 50 million fans is their peak, they'll never drop below 10 million .. or 1. 1 million is still a huge audience.

probably the most 'message' orientated video Gaga has ever produced, the song is not bad remixed for club dancing

it is not much different, message wise, than Katy Perrys new one
