Obama doesn't call Carter for advice, but all of the other presidents did.

I also find this to be strange. All of the other presidents since Carter did.

Although President Carter appears to be an intelligent man and overall fine human being; his Presidency hardly strikes me as awe-inspiring.

"Inept" would be a more accurate adjective.

I'm a bit of a fan of Carter, the post-President Jimmy Cater. I know his administration was considered a failure but really, if you look at where he found himself, at the end of the terrible Viet Nam years, and in an awful economic mess not of his making, he actually steered the ship of State in the right direction. He introduced Human Rights into the international discussion and made it one of our enduring values world-wide (theoretically) and for that alone he should be considered having made a remarkable contribution. His economic woes were partly externally controlled and partly the falling apart of settled economic theory.

What difference does it make? I find it strange that a conservative site is seemingly taking issue with Obama not contacting somebody that most conservatives can't stand. Between Clinton, Carter and Obama, it's hard to tell who conservatives really dislike more.

He's sure gone some places and done some things post presidency that no one else wanted to do.

Carter has tended to be a loose cannon.
When presidents have sent him to other countries, to represent the United States, he frequently pushed his own agenda, and angered our presidents.

    Lol soooooooooooooo

Carter's interview is awesome and he is probably right. the institutionalization of rape goes beyond military to structures based upon militaristic constructs. :O

I dunno about his candidacy but, as a human rights activist based on that interview I would vote for him.

If what he alleges is true then ewww Obama or, he is muckraking for -- what? Icky Obama :'(

The NewsMax readers' comments on Carter can give you some insight into the misinformation these guys pass along to each other.

"USGOP old fat guy 327 • 3 days ago
I question his beliefs. Carter is consistently against Israel and is consistently defending Muslims..call me a jack rabbit but something is wrong with that. When he left office he was paid tens of millions of dollars by the Saudis for defending Islam..again something is wrong with that."

Don't need spin. It's clearly what Carter said.
