I can't stand cologne on a guy... I do like the smell of bleach though. I don't however, recommend putting a few dabs of clorox behind your ears. icon_lol.gif

I'm with Buckwheat - I prefer clean masculine smell - natural.

I went to the mall today and the rank smell coming from Abercrombie made my eyes water (really!). I went in and asked the twink working there what it was, and he enthusiastically said "Fierce!"

I'm so glad I'm not fierce.

I would suggest avoiding less synthetic and commercial scents.

Check out the lines by Serge Lutens and Diptyque.

Diptyque's "L'Autre" smells like the most intense man sex you've ever had.

    Serious.

Depends on your taste and what you like...in my opinion:

All around good scent for any time - Gucci
Nighttime / Date - Marc Jacobs (by Marc Jacobs) or John Varvatos
    Power Meeting/Office - Chanel Egoiste
    Sports: Diesel Green
A "Quiet" Night In - Burberry Touch

...But again this is just my opinion.

I prefer the fresh clean natural smell of a man right out of the shower. Cologne on a man, especially if it is too powerful, can be a turn-off.

I noticed that like me, you are in the 40-something bracket. Personally, I think that colonge is one of those things that you should phase out in your early 30s. There is something odd about a young scent on someone who is no longer all that young.

I don't wear anything now. I believe that colonge, like a lot of things, was something I wore in my teens and twenties and I'm too old for it now.

Lacoste Essential is light, clean and sweet but still too manly for a woman. Unless you are Rossie.

If you want something very masculine and aggressive try Hugo Boss or Fahrenheit by Dior. The woman's Armani Code smells amazing and you can prob get away w/ sporting it. Pass on Armani Code for men though. It smells like something for an old woman.

Don't wear cologne. If you showed up at my house wearing cologne, I would ask you to wash it off. Personaly, I find cologne nauseating.

what ever you get, be sure to put on a tenth of what you think you should put on, I shouldn't smell it a mile away, if I'm right next to you, I should get a subtle hint of it nothing more... imagine your about to be laid and you wanna smell nice and you don't want him to taste it...

    Tiny amounts...
